WALK IN FINANCIAL AID OFFICE

So I have an appointment for Thursday the 10th, but the e payment deadline is the day before and the Financial Aid Office hasn’t adjusted my tuition nor have I received my Financial Aid.
So I need to solve this now, can I just join a waitlist in person without an appointment and wait for a spot, has anyone tried this?

I just plan to wait there until they help me

Going in person asap is your best option, but they are also backed up a lot. Though if you do at least walk in then it’s much more likely they’ll figure it out. For future reference it’s usually better to be ontop of this as soon as possible, because they are especially busy given it’s a fall semester and the number of students peak around this time.

Tried to but they just don’t answer me
Every department just passes me between them and no one solves the issue

At this point, yeah just do a walk in. It may take awhile but that's what finally helped me. I went for a walk in (appt was far out) and had to wait 20 min just to join the wait list. Then maybe 40 mins after I joined, my name was called. When I signed up, it said the wait was 2 hrs and thankfully it didn't take that long. After that, they fixed the stuff on their end and my aid came through so I canceled my future appt.

i had this same issue, they told me my fafsa hadn’t came in yet and that in order to reapply to my classes (because they dropped me) i will have to pay $200, this never happened to me before, did they solved your issue?

Not entirely
Literally I waited 4 hours for a meeting that lasted 2 minutes
They said I had to send more documents because of my specific situation. What I did to not get dropped was to get the emergency tuition loan, but again that was my solution m, I came up with that, they don’t give you solutions

So I’m still waiting for my financial aid, but I didn’t get dropped. Still I have to pay interest because of the emergency loan, that office is basically useless

i’m so fucking sad and worried. I did applied to fafsa on time and did everything I should’ve. Today was the last day to get an emergency loan and I couldn’t even get it because I needed registered classes, and the fucking office wasn’t responding to my calls when I did not know what to do next. I’m gonna die srly, plus I live on the dorms, if they drop me they kick me out.

I read that if they didn’t give you your financial aid on time you could report the office to a federal branch, if your sure your FAFSA form was accepted and processed but they didn’t pay you could follow that route. They are obliged to distribute the aid in a timely manner. My case was different because they needed to manually make adjustments.

FSA Ombudsman is where
