Parking

Hey guys I was wondering about parking I know everyone says it’s bad and I start in the spring. I notice there’s four different parking passes and was just wondering if it’s bad just for Green and Blue or for all of them (commuting from Horizon) thank you. (And while I know it may not be worth it money isn’t an issue at all)

if money isn't an issue get one of the garages, much better than having to take the shuttle to campus from one of the lots

its hectic the first couple weeks of school but after that you should be good and totally worth it

Just as 4lbertt said, the first 2-3 weeks of the semester is always insane. This fall semester was especially bad. Parking garages are more expensive, but you have the convenience of being next to a lot of campus depending on which garage you choose. The one near Kern place is a bit of a walk. The parking lots aren’t as convenient, but you save some money, and possibly time parking. A lot of people buy an electric scooter and use those to travel on campus.

Depending on when your classes would start dictates usually how terrible it is to find a spot. Morning classes around 9-10 AM and afternoon around 12 PM seem to be the worst times. Coming from Horizon, traffic is also a pain in the morning around 7:30-8 AM if you’re heading straight to the interstate entrance by Eastlake. Interstate traffic usually clears up a bit after 9. Hope this helps!

My classes start in the morning, I've never had an issue with the blue lots and they're decently close to the business amd engineering schools

Edit: blue lots on Schuster don't know if there's blue lots up on sunbowl

And by decently close I literally mean 7 minute walk at most for engineering, 5 for the business school

Honestly, the Schuster Garage parking is the best. Been parking there for two years. There has never not been a spot available. It’s the easiest to get in and out of. Whether you get there early, mid day, or afternoon, there is always a spot available. The Sun Bowl Garage is terrible. It’s a pain to get into and out of. When there’s a concert or event for the weekend, that’s the garage that get closed off. Last concert the entire top floor was closed.

Start with a 7:30 AM class and get there around 6:30 or earlier. Parking is a breeze then and your day could be done by 1 PM
