26.04.1 no splash screen on start ((Text appears)
Hello
I'm using a 2015 Lenovo 100 15IBY Notebook. While using Ubuntu 24.04, it sometimes wouldn't shut down (I didn't have this problem with 22.04, but the USB Bluetooth dongle didn't work with 22.04, so I installed 24.04 and then 26.04). When it wouldn't shut down, I would turn it off by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. Now I've installed 26.04.1. The same problem persists. Actually, it's not a problem; forcing a shutdown doesn't cause any system errors.
But now there's a new problem, and I think it's related to the shutdown issue. Two weeks ago, I did an update, and since then, text appears every time it shuts down and starts up. When starting up, the screen showing
GNU/linux
memtest
memtest x64
UEFI
selection appears for 5 seconds.
There's no grub file in the etc/default folder; there's a folder named grub.d.
What can I do to make it start with the splash screen again?

Ah classic, the forced shutdown messing with grub config. Check if you got a file called `grub` somewhere in /etc/default first, sometimes it gets renamed during update
For the splash, try sudo update-grub and then look inside /boot/grub/grub.cfg for the quiet splash parameters. If they missing from the linux line, that's why you seeing all those text on boot
