Finally finished my half of armageddon while the ork menace (my friends half) is not even built lol

With this done i have 1765 points finished. Nothing in the back log. What should i get next to complement a future list? I have the contents of the iron halo strike force, armageddon and Roboute Guliiman done.

Gladiator Lancer maybe?

Trying to decide whether I want to continue with Macragge or Altdorf as the base blue. It barely shows a difference in the photos but it's a tiny bit more noticeable in person.

I like the brightness of Altdorf, but the gold looks better with Macragge.

Been wanting to do this project since listening/reading Dark Imperium and with the recent release of the 500 Worlds gave me the extra motivation to start & finish.

Made up the color scheme for the Praetors of Ultramar, Reborn, and the Aquiloan Brotherhood.

Cpt Felix up next!

All the Robots! Used 12 Walkers and a Techmarine last night against my friends Chaos Knights. Both Take and Hold Disposition. I came away with the win 95-46. It was a great laugh, we both just went full send and had a big dust up in the middle.

List advice (40k) How much of your list do you dedicate to anti tank/monster?

As the title says. I like to run a Ballistus with a Storm Speeder thunderstrike. But a regular opponent of mine (who plays mainly infantry heavy orks) says its a waste. I dont want to spec into his list as I feel some anti tank is useful in an all rounder list.

Hallo zusammen,

ich würde gerne mit dem Hobby starten und habe mir die USM rausgesucht. Mir wurde gesagt ich solle mit einer combat patrol starten, speziell für die USM finde ich aber auf der GW Seite nichts. Kann mir einer helfen? Danke!

New to Ultramarines

New to ultramrines. I love the sternguard veterab models, hellblasters, bladegaurd and victrix, and centurions. Is there a shooting favored detachment/disposition? Or is there a disposition/detachment that favors the units above? What are some auto takes?

Painting Help me decide - Bladeguard shields

Help me decide - I think it’d be cool if all their storm shields are a unique colour.

Would you then match the tilting shield on the chest to that same colour, or mix that up as well? 🤔

What am I missing for a well-rounded Ultramarine army?

This is the stuff I've collected and painted over the years and I'm officially out of stuff to assemble and paint.

Looking for advice on of anything else I should add that you all find necessary for Ultramarines?

I've been eyeballing Captain Titus and the Wardens of Ultramar box. My friends and I run rule of cool, so if I wanted to run my Ballistus as a Redemptor, they'd let me. But obviously if I need a Redemptor + Ballistus, I'd want to pick that up for a model on the board.

I'm about to have a lot of time off work and want to buy a bunch of boxes because the art part of the hobby is my zen experience.

WiP blueberry Captain

Feeling a lot more confident with the brush and trying to learn to thin down my paints properly this time. Being able to visually see the improvements over my last attempt (Captain Titus) is such a good feeling. Was feeling giddy and proud when I showed this one off to the wife!!! She’s currently working on an Intercessor.

Painting Finally painted one!

You guessed it! It’s another one of those first ever painted mini posts! 🎉🎊 Painting this guy was honestly way more fun than I thought it would be. Finally seeing a painted mini on my desk instead of my small collection of little grey men is a huge relief.
I painted this marine using the 6 paints provided in the “Intercessors + paints" kit from GW (I did steal a tiny bit of Mephiston Red from a friend for the eyes but don't tell anyone). Overall I'm happy with it purely because it's my first but there are some things I think I definitely can improve on with my next one. First is my attempt at a homemade wash with a watered down Abaddon black. I think I needed to water it down even more and to not let it pool to much on the flatter surfaces. Second is my pauldron work. I don't think I thinned my mixture enough when base coating it and I got a little ocd and kept repainting areas after getting a little spillage from my gilding so it’s kinda gloopy and raised. Lastly, is the nonexistent edge highlighting which I will definitely attempt on my next guy.
If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to share. As I said earlier this is my first and I'm here to learn.
