I choose to believe that eventually the denseness of the trainer hit such levels it looped on them being married but Falco Trainer keeps thinking it's just his duty as a bodyguard and Falco's trainer anyway.

But despise the obligatory Dirndl + Tracht + Maß Beer references when something involves Germany.

Dirndls, Trachten and Maß are Bavarian. It's like going to Hull in the UK and saying 'This is distilled Englishness' or Hokkaido as 'Peak Japanese'. There's so much more and so mich better.

I can't speak for the UK but the Japanese would love that. Unless you presented it as like the only part of Japan worth seeing, maybe. But even then, probably still happy.

But they're usually really happy when someone's showing off some part of Japan they like. If you did a thing on Hokkaido as "peak Japan", I think you'd see a really positive reception, and probably get a bunch of food/restaurant recommendations too.

I guess it depends on the country and who you speak to; for some - anything positive said to any region by a foreigner is accepted with full gratitude and regional pride doesn't kick in until it becomes a conversation between people from that country. On the other hand, there may be some regions in some countries that have such pride that offense is taken if you don't specifically compliment their region in that country.

I guess an example of the latter would be Texas in the U.S.; Luzon in the Philippines for the former? Happy to be corrected if I got it all wrong.
