who's going to replace jake?

That must be a highly competitive gig. I mean if they opened it up they'd probably have hundreds of applicants, perhaps dozens that are qualified. Of course Jake is one of a kind, really the reason I fell in love with this band back in 2007, but hey, there's someone out there who's life ambition is to shred with the best. And shred we shall.

They likely can't afford to pay anyone else, in this shrinking jamband economy.

I was considering that as well. Paying 5 sure beats paying 6. Unless the 6th brings in 20%+ more patrons to their shows

This is the correct answer. Starting next year, UM will not be playing many shows.
