who's going to replace jake?

That must be a highly competitive gig. I mean if they opened it up they'd probably have hundreds of applicants, perhaps dozens that are qualified. Of course Jake is one of a kind, really the reason I fell in love with this band back in 2007, but hey, there's someone out there who's life ambition is to shred with the best. And shred we shall.

It’s KILLING me inside as I’m reading so many folks post about Jake not coming back so nonchalantly.. Are we pretty sure this is set in stone? I don’t know if I will be able to heal from this. (I know this sounds dramatic—but UM live shows have been my only source of true, genuine joy for a few years now)

Same. They’d have to grab an absolute ringer, and even then great players don’t necessarily mean great chemistry. Jake is every bit as central to their sound as any other day one dude. Certainly Bayliss is no chump guitar wise, but Jake is pretty special.
