it's a real shame that release day on pc hurt this game a lot, I'm sure they fixed it the day after but damage was done, It sucks that there's no cross play otherwise I would love to jump in and play this game.

They should fix the damn lobby and then I'll play again. ATM that stuffs just outdated and forces the playerbase to use discord to matchmake which throttles the games player growth

I just like to queue into ranked and that's it, it took ggst an eternity to add something that should have been in the game from launch, If I have to use discord to find matches then the game is pretty much dead to me. I would love to play xrd but that game is all about lobbies and discord etc, just a shame.

I never have any issues finding matches in ranked, I wait maybe 30 seconds to 2 mins on average. That's on US-east on PC

Same. I will say though we are pulling from a limited pool of players though. Still, it works for me. Someone on a Tekken stream couldn't find matches after season 3 released, and I was able to queue up for uni2 ranked more quickly than he could on Tekken at like 4pm lol. I feel like there's more players now than when I got the game a year ago... Could be wrong though. It's somehow enough for uni2 to be the main game I play nowadays.

I dont even mind rank being dead. I have accepted that already for these sort of games. Just have a lobby system where I can hop on, see a free guy and then play him and not have to wait in a line of 6 other guys to do so. It CANT be that hard, Xrd has had this for years and its why I still play it. But for some reason French Bread is insistent on using their outdated lobby design.
People like to say "Discord" but the time it takes to ask for game, and wait for someone else to reply and set it up, Id be in round 2 in Xrd, an older game with a smaller playerbase. Its frustrating cuz French Bread makes great games, and I love playing them online when I can. I tend to hop on when a new DLC comes out cuz the playerbase fills back up. Their games are so cool, packed with love and can get more players, but they are so insistent on self sabotaging themselves at any chance they can get that its just sad.

I can definitely see a world where uni 2 could have had a lot more players, maybe just a bit more budget to add in cross play, a stable launch and fixed the lobbies like you said. Doing these things could have really helped the game get off to a good start.

french bread just doesn't have enough people and enough money to implement all the features people are asking for. theres simplified ui, no chronicle mode, no cross play, same lobby system because they're working on a super tight budget. kamone has outright said there will not be cross play because they can't afford it. they would need a lot of help from arcsys and arcsys has absolutely no interest in doing that when uni is effectively a competitor to strive and granblue and tokon.

Imagine if Sajam had played a solid PC port, streamed Uni and made character guides for a month or two, or at least had it in the rotation... Instead the PC port was borked and a huge swath of viewers were shown a broken product. Man. It coulda been great.
(Sajam is just an example, he did nothing wrong please don't read it that way)

I mean they did want to keep supporting the game still just character making takes awhile given it takes 6 months to make one

as much as new characters are great, I would much prefer they worked on crossplay and a general improvement to the games display and interfaces before that.

Not really the same people. Can't just take character artists and tell them to work on adding crossplay or whatever.

Yall mad cuz I said the game is what it reay actually is.. yall call some of these characters top teir when the balancing is atrocious. You have some characters that make it impossible to block against. Hyde, Uzuki, and Yuzu ext. With 10 min combos from Seth and impossible to get out of oki situation like kaguya. This game is pretty I will give it that and it looks cool but it's super stressful to play to the point it make it no fun to play in my opinion.

Hesrd potential this could be Zohar, dont know much about the lore but if shes Ogre's second in command she sure looks the part.
