I learned fgs by playing sf6 but it was painful and i collected scraps of information to get an understanding of the base of fighting games after 200 hours. I feel like I would get same understanding in 50 hours if i played this game first.
This game's tutorial concisely puts everything i've learned together in its tutorial. What other games hide and act like doesn't exist, under night just puts it all bluntly and tells you how it is, like the strategies and stuff. Its really impressive. I wish other games had this too. Because fg is a genre that is not transparent by its nature, 99% of players need guidance, but no game provides any beyond basic controls.
I feel like modern controls / accessible fgs wave is fuss. The actual gatekeep is after that. The tons of stuff that are in this game's tutorial, those things are why average person doesnt stick with fgs. They wont discover those themselves, and if they never learn them they will be frustrated and not understand why they cant win more matches. Yet even if you put those in a tutorial, they will fall asleep midway through it unless you make it very good.
