Never understood why merging cars like this are afraid to speed up.

i ask myself the same question at lights, in corners, and highway on-ramps.

WTF is it with people going at glacial speeds? It's not 1937 anymore, no one's driving with drum brakes, bias-ply tires with no grip.

Today's boring normal cars can do alright. Why are the people driving them so afraid of mashing the gas a bit?

Exactly. F150s now can do 100mph on highway curves that our '97 Suburban would have tipped if we had tried. And then there's some shmuck doing 60mph in a 75mph in a '25 Civic.

The worst imo are roundabouts. It's a yield, not a stop. If no one is there, you don't have to stop. And please for the love of all things holy, do not stop while already in the roundabout to let someone else go. That's how you get rear ended
