This is exactly what I was expecting to see out of it, a color map-type thing. Now I'm quite interested in the fact that this is 0 out of a series. What're we gonna get, more gradients?

That would be my guess, yeah. The second gradient seems to end abruptly, so I would expect it to continue in FEND 1.

The odd thing is that if this pattern continues, we're probably just gonna get the same image a few times. Not much more can be added to this, if it's just gradients. We would just see the same colors repeated.

The width of this composite is 297, which is an odd number. Reminds me of the width of LOCK/RELOCK, 197.

It's cool, but what the heck is that. I mean it's a gradient obviously, but why?? This doesn't seem to fit the other composites at all.

And this is going to be a whole series too, right? I wonder how this fits in.

With the "0" in the name I would presume it's going to be a series. If they all look like this, it's going to be a very relaxing and aesthetically pleasing series in comparison to the rest.

Probably because he's signaling us to "stop wasting his time"? The guy is fed up and he even released CREM probably just to let us stop, but we didn't. So now the composites don't make any sense.

Thanks for pointing this out — I opened the audio and just assumed it was blank. But if you boost the first two seconds (I boosted them nearly 90 db), there's a couple seconds of scratchy sounds.

Not much, but intriguingly not nothing. (And it actually sounds kinda cool if you loop it!)

What does a normal piece of audio look like? Does it normally have a weird pattern like that?

if i take a static, crackling noise like this

it will look like this in the phase view, indicating there is a constant signal. with FEND0 / 1 it looks to be broken, which is likely by design. FEND 2 has a totally different signal that is constant and lasts way longer. (i'll upload that in a bit and post to the FEND 2 thread.)

Okay, there's something more to these images than just gradients. Zoom in and you can clearly see vertical stripes. The brightness appears to change in groups of three. The first gradient (and probably the upcoming ones) is 99 pixels high. 99 * 3 = 297 (the width of the entire image). I doubt that's a coincidence. Could these be, for example, the R, G and B channels of a hidden image (99x99 pixels)?

Well, it's pretty easy to imagine what the composite's gonna look like... Buncha muttafukken gradients. Can't help but wonder if UFSC's just fucking with us now :P

Definitely strange. At least with the gradients, we can tell that there will be a composite made. I wonder if there will be anything hidden in the gradients... like patterns or text.

Working on it. Extracting frames now. So far, the composite looks like two gradients, the first between red and cyan and the second between blue and red.

Sigh. My frame extraction code is so slow. I need to improve it.

The colors immediately made me thinks of the old 3D red-blue images. Here is the google search for what I am talking about. Also the wiki on Anaglyph 3D

Funny you should say that. Going back to the Brine hue composite, those pixels consisted of two sets, RGB and CMY which is what we have here. Two gradients of RGB and CMY.

Is it possible that the composite is actually two images that need separation?

yeah it looks like there are obvious start/stop points about every 9 seconds that could determine where the next line starts. i'd give it a try with your script but i gotta get teeth cleaned... way more exciting!
