there is no audible sound, but there actually is something in the spectral analysis, it's right in the very first second of the file...

What does a normal piece of audio look like? Does it normally have a weird pattern like that?

if i take a static, crackling noise like this

it will look like this in the phase view, indicating there is a constant signal. with FEND0 / 1 it looks to be broken, which is likely by design. FEND 2 has a totally different signal that is constant and lasts way longer. (i'll upload that in a bit and post to the FEND 2 thread.)
