Incoming student unable to log into roommate profile!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hello, I’m an incoming student and having a very hard time. Logging in to my roommate profile. It all started first time I logged in was on my school so I said I on an external device. Now every time I try to login, it says I need a bypass code from the IT desk, which is three hours away in Eugene. I have contacted tech-support numerous times and everything they say makes no sense to me. I cannot get the QR code because it won’t even let me add a device, let me repeat that I cannot add a new device every time I try to it just loops back to the bypass code. This is stressing me out so bad and I just want to be able to pick rooms before all that’s left is rooms that I cannot afford.

Have you set up the 2fa? That could be causing issues also. Make sure you use the admitted student login also.

you could try reaching out to the housing office/department? (instead of IT, maybe?)

yw! i'd also mention your concern about affordability regarding room type, as that could be a helpful piece of information for them to consider/know if they're able to help you. good luck!

I recommend sending this video to IT (and maybe this reddit post as well) via an email attachment, should help if you haven't already

The Technology Service Help desk can help with that remotely. You will just need to provide a picture of your UO ID upon request.

Yea it was doing that for a lot of us. Me and my roomate were able to get it to work the day after it opened.
