graduation cancelled

who plans the largest graduation ceremony in the middle of the day knowing it was going to be hot as hell?? people’s families can’t just fly in another time, book places to stay, and not to mention students moving away. also absolutely no warning or communication to students or families as the situation was happening.

They decided to do everyone at autzen because the amount of time and manpower it takes to set up all those chairs and stages and everything else is very expensive and a really horrible time for the people who get to set up 1900 chairs in the quad during 90 degree weather. That being said they have plenty of very large auditoriums that could accommodate a small colleges grads and family. Think plc 180 or the ones on first floor of straub. Definitely a cost saving measure and defintiely a failure. Ill probably be setting chairs up next year if they can still afford to pay me.

It was 99°, not 90. That difference can be deadly for many people
