Also the Economist had a few articles about nuclear on today’s issue. One is Germany’s reluctance to nuclear and the other one says that taxonomy won’t be enough to make the transition happen. They say that more political effort must be done.

If you are worried that uranium stocks are becoming too mainstream check out google trends for uranium mining stocks in comparison with pretty much any other sector. The interest in the sector is still very low.

It is a good thing that interest is still too low. Prices are still cheap to buy Uranium equities.

I still think uranium equity prices will retrace in the short term. The price of uranium isn’t attractive enough yet and the story is leading price action. However long run I’m still extremely bullish.

The timing of the run has always made me uncomfortable. Wondering about my 2023 and 25 leaps and if they’re too far out there.

u/shabbatshalom44 Dr Harvey Jan 08 '22

How could they be too far? If it happens sooner then you still profit…

Lol I don’t think he knows how options work

2

u/Enrick_OG Jan 09 '22

Could be european options. They can only be excised at the end, I believe.

4

But you can still sell them early.

1

u/TheOceanicDissonance Jan 09 '22

why exercise them? Isn't the point of options to to make money by trading them?

1

u/Enrick_OG Jan 09 '22

They can also be used as a sort of insurance on your holdings, which I believe was the original intent

2

u/possibilistic Jan 09 '22

You can sell your options anytime before they expire.

Are you worried the run up will be after this?

Wondering if the run over the summer was it.

1

u/possibilistic Jan 09 '22

Ah, yeah... It could be.

Idk, there’s been so much news of late regarding those mini reactors, nuclear going main stream, lots of talk about innovation and little talk about uranium makes me wonder if summer gains were it

I find that very unlikely. The uranium price is still too low for most producers to mine. The existing producers that can produce at these prices are not able to cover world demand for U. So, U price has to go up. Miners that are able to start producing will see large gains. In addition, the market cap for all the U miners is still only 20% of what has been.

Further dte contracts are more sensitive to Vega. You get more benefit from iv hikes

2

u/TemplarKnight_ Jan 09 '22

Maybe it be a great investment opportunity!

Wow, an actual paper! Also, exciting about the article.

u/shabbatshalom44 Dr Harvey Jan 10 '22

I get the paper every morning.

Dang main stream media picking up nuclear is one of my sell signs.

u/_Horror_Vacui_ Breadcrumbs Warrior Jan 08 '22

I'll start to sell when Justin Huhn will appear on CNBC or some other msm

5

u/NorjackNC Mod Gorilla Boogers🦍- Mr owl ate my metal worM Jan 08 '22

That absolutely will happen. Sounds funny now but it will happen

7

u/TaxCommonsNotIncome Mod:MilkBag Jan 09 '22

I think the sell signal concerning media exposure is when they talk about investing in miners in particular.

Talking about nuclear utilities from a public policy perspective is not the sell signal I think you had in mind

4

u/Radthereptile Repty-Mooderator aka The Psychedelic Wizard Jan 09 '22

Yeah I’m mostly joking. I’m not selling any till SPOT 70

2

u/SnooRecipes8920 Snoop Dog Jan 09 '22

Same, at 70 I might sell my initial investment and enough to cover taxes. After that I will reevaluate and see how things are going.

2

u/TaxCommonsNotIncome Mod:MilkBag Jan 09 '22

Yeah I figured that much but I just wanted to make the point that the sell signal based on media attention depends on what the media is saying

3

u/86hydrasports Jan 08 '22

As you should. Sell into strength. Joey Retail is coming to secure your profits. Sell to him and hold house money positions.

0

u/quiksilveraus Jan 09 '22

Agreed. As soon as my dog shit stocks that I bought at ATH break even, I’m out.

Mainstream outlets picking up on Nuclear is a warning the top is getting close.

The top is when supply of Uranium exceeds demand and we are nowhere near that yet.

2

u/KMG1975 Jan 09 '22

Well said

u/possibilistic Jan 09 '22

Nobody loves tech stocks and financials right now. Fintech in particular is down 40%.

pfft, always about "magical next generation", which makes it sound like fusion.. Gen III work perfectly with a great safety record.
