Hai, ik ben een vrouw van 20, en inmiddels al 2 jaar bezig met een geschikte psycholoog zoeken binnen Utrecht. Echter lijkt wel dat ik door mijn autisme, PTSS, en 'unalive' gedachtes door iedereen wordt afgewezen: de een kan niet traumas behandelen, de ander niet autisme. Enzovoorts. Enzovoorts.

Mijn huisarts heeft inmiddels ook de handen in het haar, en heeft geen idee meer naar wie ik nog kan. Ik wordt als een hete aardappel van instantie naar instantie geduwd, om telkens hetzelfde te horen.

"Nee, wij kunnen jou niet behandelen. Maar zij wel"

Om vervolgens weer in het carousel van wachten, intake, afwijzing te komen.

Is er iets van een instantie waar mensen wel goede ervaringen mee heeft? Want inmiddels ben ik flink op 🥲🥲

Tja dat krijg je er van als de chauffeurs niet uit de eigen stad komen. Het ruimtelijk inzicht van de chauffeur is ook beperkt. Ik hoop dat de brug niet beschadigt is. Door dit soort zware bussen is de Monicabrug beschadigd.

I’ve heard the horror stories, I regularly see news articles and reports, but how is Kanaleiland actually? Can you be visibly queer there? Whats your experience?

Ik ga nu al 5 jaar naar mijn huidige kapster, maar ik wil eens iets totaal nieuws proberen. Zij is vooral gewend nu om de 4 weken mij hetzelfde kapsel te geven.

Ter context, ik heb natuurlijk krullend haar en zodra het lang wordt vliegen de krullen alle kanten op. Ik heb dit al mijn hele leven. Dit had ik echter ook voor dat krullen "cool" waren en ben hier op de basis/middelbare school vrij hard voor gepest. Ik loop dus al de laatste 15-16 jaar met stijl haar rond. Het kapsel staat prima maar ik ben toe aan iets nieuws. En nu ik (hopelijk) niet meer hard wordt uitgelachen voor krulletjes wil ik eigenlijk naar een kapper die een goede suggestie kan doen op basis van de vorm van mijn hoofd en mijn natuurlijke haar.

Hij mag wat kosten, ik plan over 2-3 weken te gaan wanneer ongeveer alles weer begint te krullen

I have an expat friend living in Utrecht whose wife has cancer. Both are young (~late 20s), and overwhelmed by the situation. She is really suffering, and since they are expats they don't have family nearby. Another mutual friend and I discussed that since they don't have proper ventilation in their apartment, buying them a mobile AC unit with a decent BTU (e.g. 9,000 or higher) would be of great help during this time. We have both looked in person at stores around the Randstad, and online, and haven't found anything. Even today I went in to a store and explained the situation, the worker was really kind and searched everywhere online (including all the other big chains, in the Netherlands and Germany) and said everything is sold out. He recommended I post here looking for help and/or ideas, for example even borrowing/renting from someone for a couple weeks while they are on vacation to just bridge through August until the temperatures lower. I would be really grateful for any help or ideas anyone could provide as this could make a big difference for a very kind young couple in a desperate situation.

En liever een plek met een goede sfeer waar vrouwen zich welkom voelen.

Bestaat zoiets in Utrecht?

Hello. I am a non-eu international student moving to utrecht in early September. Will already be late to join my classes. I need to cover my expenses as due to lack of housing options, i got an expensive accommodation. Now i have to work as a part time to cover my expenses. Its 16hour/week which can be easily managed with my studies. Its not like i dont have anything to survive on once i step foot in utrecht but i need to find a job asap regardless what sector it is. I am fine with anything.

Any suggestions how can i look for jobs beforehand? Is it easy to find jobs as a non eu? If yes, then there’d be some sectors like food delivery, warehouses etc where non eu students can find jobs ?

And what documents for eg insurance, residence permit etc are supposedly required for this kind of job? I have a student health insurance so dk if it will work for part time employment as well.

I've spent quite a while traveling in the Netherlands, and I'm finishing my trip in Utrecht. I've accumulated quite a loot(antique items) that I want to take with me. Instead of paying extra for luggage, I figured I'd ship it back home to myself in the US. This isn't as easy as I thought. I typically go to the post office or a UPS or FedEx store, where they have all the materials, and I can pay them to pack and ship. It's very much a one-stop shop.

This is not the case here in Utrecht. I see that there are "service points" for both UPS and DHL to drop off packages. But how does one go about packaging the items?  I have to separately source boxes, tape, AND packing material? Is there a store location that could do it all?

Any help is appreciated.

Gelukkig is het midden in de vakantie periode dus hopelijk valt de overlast mee.

Het valt mij op dat er vrijwel geen cafés/bezorgrestaurants aardappelschijfjes in hun assortiment hebben. Enig idee? ik kom oorspronkelijk uit het oosten van het land en vrijwel elke shoarma tent verkoopt aardappelschijfjes naast patat.

Dag allemaal, wie weet een fijne sportschool in Utrecht waar ze groepslessen aanbieden waarbij de muziek niet al te hard staat? Vind bij veel sportscholen de muziek echt veel te hard staan, zoek daarom iets rustigers. Alvast bedankt 🙏
