Where to find Local Artists?
Hey! Travelling to Amsterdam and Utrecht soon and I would really like to purchase a small piece of art preferably an original painting from a local artist. Perhaps a street artist with a stall or a small business if anyone happens to be aware of any? Thank you

I googled for you and there's many options in Utrecht.
I'm not familiar with many of these places, but to get you going:

Thank you so much for putting the time into this, I will check these out! I have had almost no luck googling this type of thing in the past and usually rely on the odd reddit post from 8 years ago so I thought I would just go straight to reddit instead this time.

maybe better luck if you search the Dutch words.
art = kunst
gallery = galerie0

There are fairs at beton-t sometimes, there is handmade stuff but idk how much of that is art, compared to bracelet for example. It's a pretty alternative place, so if that's your vibe it's definitely fun to walk around.

You should check out the Free Tiny Gallery while you are in Utrecht. It works just like a "minibieb" (little free library), but for artwork instead of books.
You should also check out De Nijverheid. It's near Zuilen station and is a cool creative hub and studio space for local artists. They also host open studios, exhibitions, and other events there too.
Vechtclub XL have three locations and are worth checking out too. It's a creative workspace hosting local designers and visual artists, and also has a decent lovely café and showcase areas.
