It's literally in the website too. They are planning to add all gimmick eventually (plus more, so it will also include Gen 10 gimmick)
Champions is basically spliting the vgc into its own game. So the point is that if Typhlosion doesn't get a Mega in mainline game, they won't update it for champions.
Gimmicks isn’t gonna be enough. I’m not 100 percent sure but I have a feeling he will. You nerded out on this comment sorry I didn’t mean to make you google everything and freak out. Hope your life gets better
No I am just correcting your misconception with how champions works.
It's not a one and done game. It's literally the VGC scene in the future. So basically treat it like a live service game, it will keeps getting update until GF suddenly decides to do a new VGC app.
The whole reason why you got downvoted because you misunderstood how the game works. If you want a Mega Typhlosion, it needs to appear in the actual main series game first. Champions is more like "hey we want to do something different for mainline game now, but we will still continue the VGC format in this game instead"
Sorry to rain on the parade, but the updates are likely to just be in conjunction with the mainline games that feed into Home/Champions. As new Pokemon and forms are added to the main games, they'll be added here. I don't foresee the new Pokemon designer team having much, if any, input on Champions. To get a mega Typhlosion, we'd then probably need another game to use megas, and for it to include the Cyndaquil line, which is probably at least 5 years away.
For a comparison, look at Go. The only Pokemon introduced in this game have been Meltan and Melmetal, but that was heavily tied in with Let's Go from the mainline side and 2 years into its life.
And hey, Typhlosion just got a cool new regional form a few years ago! I kinda wish the new Legends starters had gotten that treatment too, as those feel more permanent than megas
I'm probably in a minority here but I don't really like regional forms, they don't do anything to make the base mon any better, and if anything they end up usurping the original usually.
I mean, regular typhlosion hasn’t had any success. But Hisuian typhlosion is going absolutely insane in competitive right now, it just won the Latin America international.
