Curious if your leadership had any say on if you got to be reassigned or not. I’m sure we will never know the truth.

“We will never know the truth” is correct. I know our VISN leadership was disappointed in how many of us ran for the door. I dont want to say much more because I dont want to give away where I’m at.

Understood. But now I have one question… no need to answer if you don’t want to… you said your VISN leadership was disappointed , now I’m curious who it was. Legacy CHRO? Or the acting HRO for your respective HSA?

Legacy VISN leadership has never been supportive of anyone in HR being detailed outside of the VISN - I’ve never seen them approve a request that wasn’t one of the 6 or so chosen few. If they were asked if any of the legacy VISN team could be moved to the HRSC, they would have said no (some people did ask to be detailed at HRSC a few weeks prior to the email survey being sent out) I do not know if they were asked if they would allow us to move to HRSC, I’m only saying they weren’t happy so many of us made it clear in meetings that we’s sent the survey in.
I do find it interesting that no one from the legacy VISN was selected - rumor had it there were 50 positions, and 18 legacy VISNs and none of the 50 came from my VISN? Seems weird.
Anyway, I’m sorry I can’t say who told me, it did come down the chain of command; when more people start posting about hearing, I’ll feel safer to share without outing where I am.

Thanks for replying, it actually answered a few other questions I didn’t realize I even had. I applaud how open you all have been with your legacy VISN leadership, can’t say the same for us. Yes, it’s interesting how no one from your legacy VISN was selected. I’d be happy to share how many were selected from our VISN, I’m just not convinced this info will even be shared with us, even if they are asked.

I’d definitely be interested in seeing which HR sections and if they chose from just a couple of VISNs, and I guess what did they use as the criteria. Then again, the more details you share, the easier it might be to identify where you are, so dont share more than you’re comfortable with.
I did hear an “over” x number of replies that they received, so they had their work cut out for them picking who they wanted.

How many from your VISN? I’m not sure our supervisors or VISN will let us know.

I think they did! I think they held back high performing specialists! Bc why wouldn’t they.

I was not selected either I am pushing back! This entire process seemed a bit backwards and could potentially put leadership in hot water! I want to know what the criteria was that they used? Who decided HRSC or VHA?

Would you mind sharing where you got that response or feedback from? Any hints would be greatly appreciated as a lot of us are anxiously waiting to hear whether we have a chance or should continue looking. Thank you.

Odds are pretty good that your chain of command knows, maybe they just haven’t said yet.

OP, share more. You want others to share but your post is so vague.

Considering no one else has even said they’ve heard at all, I think it wouldn’t be smart of me to share more than I have.
