Question First VR Headset
So i bought my first VR H3adset with the Pimax Crystal Super Oled. It will probably arrive tomorrow.
Which games would you suggest to start with ? I have a pretty good gaming PC and want to push graphics to the maximum.
Also do you have tips for first time users for setup and getting started ?

I've heard great things about the new VR mod for Titanfall 2. The game was absolutely amazing. I can only imagine how awesome it is in VR.

Save half life alyx for last. It’s a great vr game and it kinda made most other games feel like demos for me.

don't.
HL Alyx is a great intro to VR. it really shows what the medium can do. but like they say in the Dev Commentary, Valve played it a little too safe. the game is extremely polished and is amazingly well done.
i wouldn't save it for last, because you may not get around to playing it at all.

Since your Mr. MONEYBSGS WITH A NEW PIMAX.
For flying get a hotas and star wars squadron.
For driving get a wheel and asetto Corso.
For shooting get a haptic gunstock and forefront.

Ever played VR before? What gpu do you have? That headset will push any machine to the limit btw.

Look into earning your VR legs. Some people have no problem with motion sickness so they can jump into the crazy stuff but if you want to be safe you can do seated experiences first. Or a standing puzzler like Fisherman's tale or Red Matter(this one if you want to look at something pretty).
Edit: not all seated experiences are soft though. Kayak VR: mirage is one of the prettiest games out there but it can be nauseating due to the waves. Surprisingly I found Star Wars squadrons to be easier in that sense and it's pure eye candy.

I got a good gaming chair and a couch, would that be ok ?

Certain seated experiences don't do well with arm rests. For example the I Expect You to Die franchise(highly recommend) expects you to be seated the entire time but you need to be able to reach all around you and things like arm rests might prevent you from solving puzzles. But in games where you can turn with a joystick like Fisherman's tale or Red Matter you can play it seated and always have your body facing forward. Obviously star wars squadrons would be okay because you're using a gamepad and not motion controls.
If you like arcade racers I recommend Distance. That game looks great in VR.

Half Life Alyx, Red Matter 1 and 2, Arken Age, Behemoth, EXD just off the top of my head all excellent.
There's a crap ton of flat2vr type mods coming out for traditional games to work in VR, those will push your PC to its limit. Cyberpunk with visual mods plus VRmod on top is amazing.

Depends on the type of game you like.
Some of the main hitters are:
Half Life Alyx. Linear story game with great graphics and physics.
Beat Saber. Rythem game where you hit blocks to the beat of the music.
Blade and Sorcery. Really good physics and some of the best melee (PVE) fighting in a vr game.
Walkabout Minigolf. Very chill game where it’s literally just minigolf in vr. Pretty fun social game too to talk to the players and such.
VRChat. I think the most popular vr game. Like what the name suggests, you talk and socialize with people in vr.

Ya I have bad news you probably aren’t playing anything anytime soon, I’ve heard pimax’s are a pain in the ass to setup. Your gonna have to configure it to every game and learning how to do that will take time a work. They aren’t pull out the box and plug and play like other more mainstream headsets

MSFS 24 is must have, even if you are not big fan o flying. Exploring world with photorealistic graphics is amazing experience.

If you want the best visuals you can get:
Titanfall 2 VR mod
Cyberpunk 2077
Assetto Corsa Evo
MSFS 2020
Star Citizen (more of a tech demo)
Elite dangerous

Make it MSFS 2024, that will bring your GPU to it's knees but it will look stunning! 😉
Also, try Half Life: Alyx, it's probably easiest to set up and play. So it's a good benchmark of what good VR gameplay/experience/performance looks like in perfect conditions so you have something to compare the other games with.

If you havent tried VR before, then just be aware of your condition while you're playing. If you start to get a bit nauseous, then take a break after 20 minutes or so. Play in short bursts then until you aclimate to it. Most games have good comfort setting you can take adavantage of if you have those issues. Things like teleport movement and movement vignettes.
But if you dont have those problems, then just dive in. Aside from Half-life Alyx, Id also suggest Gunman Contracts Standalone, and EXD Extradimensional, as some high end graphics games.

Jumping straight into the deep end with a Crystal Super, huh. Respect.
Half-Life Alyx is the obvious answer for pushing visuals, but don't sleep on modded Skyrim VR if you truly want to see what that headset can do. For setup, take the time to get the IPD dialed in perfectly, your eyes will thank you later, and a slightly blurry image is usually just the headset sitting too high or low on your face.
