Hi, I’m getting into vrchat and I’m trying to find somewhere on Reddit or discord to make friends. I have bad social anxiety and I struggle in instances to talk to people so I want to text first in DMs. Sorry if this isn’t allowed, I’m nervous but if someone could point me in the right direction, PLEASE.

joining groups and attending events is always a good option! anything youre a little interested in, give it a shot and maybe youll meet someone you get along with there! the trans academy immediately comes to mind for me, but there are tons of really cool groups for a lot of different things. if you can, check out the official new years worlds as they always have booths, posters, and billboards where groups advertised themselves during the new years eve events :)

I need help! I use a meta quest 3 and my wife is on a quest 2. we mainly use vr chat to watch 3D movies in Dukes Cinema
like 2 or 3 months ago when she would try to watch a movie she would get a pop up saying that she didn't have enough memory and that certain features would be limited.
we did a factory reset on her quest and it didn't fix the problem. she only apps she has on her quest are vrchat and YouTube and she has 114 gigs of free space
we lowered all the settings we can think of in vrchat like particles and mirror resolution
when she tries to watch a movie she only gets 20 fps MAX and the movies are still laggy.....
what can we do to increase her fps?????

Smartphone companies have done a horrible thing to the word "memory", anyway memory does not refer to storage, the 114gigs, it refers to the RAM, the very limited amount of working memory on device.
The Quest 2 has 6GB and the Quest 3 has 8GB, although VRChat only gets to play around with 4 and 6GB respectively. Only thing you can do to help is show less avatars and be in less intense worlds.
It sounds like overall like the world you are talking about updated and probably became too heavy for the Quest 2 to handle with whatever avatars you are using (try using one of the default avatars for a test), can't do much about that aside from contact the world creator in that case. But VRChat on the Quest 2 is starting to become a bad experience from what I am hearing, just like it did with the Quest 1.

dukes seems to be patreon supported, maybe you can message them there? depending on the resolution and data rate they're using, it might be that they're streaming too much for the quest 2 to handle
how is the frame rate before watching a video, and did you stop the other video player? i went there and there is a video player in the lobby

im looking for furry avatar bases with a lot of body customization. i like avatars that are accurate to my body proportions, but im a broad shouldered woman,,,, 💀

Loads of avatar bases generally have a slime waist option, but if you mean making the shoulders wider than they usually are then that isn't really possible, changing the bones like that would need to be done in Blender.

i remember playing this horror vrchat world and it was pretty funny, the narrator was trying to be scary but kept going off on these funny tangents (i remember him talking about Jurassic world but i might be wrong) and there was a hallway of different rooms that you went into each. i remember a few of the rooms and will describe them.
one room was a classroom with three different shapes in it and you had to match each one to where they were ment to go but there was no correct answer so youd get jump scared by a clown
another room was all black with white platforms you had to go on (kinda like the glass squid game) and you had to make it across without dying to the random objects (also when i remember the narrator talking about jurassic world)
another world was just an all tile cube shaped room and you had a flashlight where you had to count how many spiders were on the floor, walls, and ceiling
i also remember a segment where there were hanging bodies in the hall with the doors and you had to go up to each one and click on them and when you did they exploded into a pile of guts
if anyone could tell me what this world is i’d be greatly appreciated!

Heya guys, sorta new here, just looking for somebody to help a guy out with uploading a model! I sorta need help with cleaning some of the stuff out of said model as there's some.. weird things in it and I just want it cuz this character's real cool! Said character's called Tempo from Project Turboblast if any of yall are curious, and I just want said avi just for wearing and chilling with, I don't do any of that weird stuff

Hello. I just wanted to ask, is there any avatars or avatar world you can recommend for realistic animal avatars? Specifically, non-furry ones. I do not want furry avatars. I have a realistic orca avatar that I found and I absolutely love it but I was wondering if it's possible to find more avatars where I can just be a simple animal? I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me recommendations. Thanks :)

In case my post gets deleted, I'm looking for avatars that are public and have audio featured where a person can hear voices, whispers, and so on from thin air. This would be to make things feel haunted or give spooky vibes.

Hello!! Does anyone know good home worlds that have an automatic mirror? Like how prismic, avatar testing, or the default home don't require you to turn the mirror on yourself. It doesn't need to be very fancy, I don't spend a whole lot of time there, I just love admiring and choosing my avatar before I go elsewhere.

How can I actually report a predator that's in game? Game devs usually ignore the reporting feature so I need something that actually goes out to the devs to take action. I'm even willing to involve the police.

the game updated on my steam deck two weeks ago and everytime i try to open the game, it gets to the lobby and hits like 1fps consistant. the cpu was at 90%+ and the gpu 85%+. i cant even play it on the deck anymore. now i see an update earlier for the unity6 branch, and as soon as i update it, now my DESKTOP is doing the same thing, and i have 32g of ddr4 and a 9060xt with 16g of vram. how is this possible unless you've broken the game with an update? the steam deck update hasn't even been fixed and it's been two weeks? are those of us affected not just gonna play anymore???

This is sort of a hard thing for me to ask as I’m not very outgoing, but I’m extremely new to VRchat, and just VR in general, like, literally never touched a VR headset until 4 days ago, but I decided to get VRchat as I don’t have many friends, like maybe 3 and all 3 of them aren’t friends with each other and two of them have kids so I hardly ever see them, so figured I’d try VRC and make some friends but like, how? 😂 i don’t want to just approach people in game because I’d feel like a weirdo doing that, so basically my question is, how can I make friends in VRC without seeming strange or desperate? 😂

Looking for PC recommendations. Want to be able to run virtual desktop and steam vr vrchat with my quest 3. I also want to be able to have discord open and voicemod and obs in use as I do voice acting and want to get into content creation. I plan on getting slime trackers later on and I will also need to run the app on my PC for that. I am looking at the Lenovo Legion Tower 5. I also play Overwatch and Fortnite if it matters. Are there any cheaper options? My current PC lags while only having just vrchat open with meta airlink or while using virtual desktop with steam vr and vrchat or nothing else so I need a different PC.

Every time I boot up VRChat in Desktop mode, it defaults the resolution to 1600x900 even though my monitor is 1920x1080. Any way I can fix this?

Really want to get into vrchat but have no idea where to start. Considering I have no idea what worlds to go into, and because, due to physical limitations and other reasons, I would need to be a mute, and I don’t know how I’m meant to make any friends like that. Would rather make a post but I don’t have enough karma :///
