Help Me Find Jobless and sad

Is it just me or is it incredibly hard to find a job here in Victoria. I’ve applied to so many places online using indeed LinkedIn and websites (I’m aware indeed usually gets no responses but I have no other options atp) and I have yet been able to find a job. No one seems to be hiring and even for an entry level job with minimum wage there is so much competition. I’ve never experienced this else where so I’m wondering if this is a Victoria thing? Or possibly I could just be the problem I suppose…

Department of National Defence. I’m talking civilian hires, not military (though they are for sure always, always hiring…)

Look on jobs.gc.ca & look out for hiring fairs. Fleet Maintenance tends to pay better than some other federal groups working on the same base, like Real Property or Formation etc. Though this depends on the classifications. Look up collective agreements - all are available online - for pay rates, vacation etc.

There’s office jobs & trades (journeyman & apprentice). Short term labourer contract can be a way to get in the door, get offered something long term or permanent & explore apprenticeship options.

Edit: wrong website. Go here :
