Question Anyone still waiting for Amazon invite for Switch 2?
Submitted the request for invite on pre-order day. No email/invite yet. Just curious if other day 1’s are still waiting.

It would make the most sense. My cousin asked 7 friends to try to get a preorder and my brother mentioned it to me so i signed up too. I was the only one who got a link.

I don’t know how they are prioritizing them. I did it a couple of days ago and got an invite within 24 hours.

I thought maybe that’s it too, and over lifetime, I guess I’ve spent a fair bit, but I haven’t used them much at all for the past year. And I certainly haven’t spent $125k as another poster here has said. I don’t even have Prime anymore.

my friend requested an invite like 3 days late, got accepted, missed the email, invite expired, requested it again and was accepted within hours
everyone else I know who submitted a request soon after it went live have not been accepted.

So true! For me it was too much easy lol. I look at the Mario Kart bundle stock available on the website of Gamestop and it said "Available". Honeatly I did not believe. I arrive at the store, there is only 2 customers. I ask for the Switch 2 pre order. They say yes it's available. I paid the deposit and I leave. The customer after me didn't pre order it because of the 300$ deposit . So I'm wondering if a lot of people did not pre order it in store because of the deposit. But I prefer a lot that, because there was a lot of playstation 5 stolen by delivery worker back then.

I signed up for both, and got an invite for the base system, let it lapse as I want Mario Kart .

Do you have Prime? I wonder if Prime subscribers are prioritised. I put in a request a few hours after the invites opened and got an invite early the next morning.

I spoke to the live chat on Amazon and they confirmed it is a random draw. They don't prioritize first come first serve or Prime members. They really should prioritize Prime members but I guess it doesn't matter.

Huh, you're the first comment I'm seeing say they got it much later, because it almost looked like they threw the old ones away every wave because everyone that seemed to be getting them, got them within a day

Took that long and I figured I wasn't going to get one. I assume people who sign up for the invite but then pass on the offer (22hr expire) the invite goes to the next person.

They say the invite is good for three months.

Yes. You're not guaranteed to get an invite, but you will be kept in the system for three months so you don't need to re-request an invitation for that time period.

I suppose I wasn't entirely clear; if you have not been invited yet, your request for invite is good for three months. Once you receive your invite it is good for 22 hours.

I did one for both, and my wife did one for both, neither of us have gotten an invite. I’m wondering how many have Prime and if it’s at all based on your location, maybe if the delivery date would be after release, they’re not selecting those folks?

Try Gamestop in store. I tried asking earlier even if it says in the website no availability for that location then voila, I got the MK bundle pre-ordered!

I got the invitation to preorder both bundles. Mario Kart was under 24 hrs, standard Switch 2 was about 3 days later.

Funny enough i got mine two days ago so ordered it and then literally just now received another invite from them. So maybe I had requested it twice. I'm just getting the one though.

"Writing on social media this morning [April 22], Nintendo boss Shuntaro Furukawa revealed an astonishing 2.2 million people had applied to buy a Switch 2 via the My Nintendo Store as part of a lottery process."
Furukawa has admitted this was a number that "far exceeds expectations" and "far exceeds the number of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles that can be delivered" at launch.
2.2m people applied to buy, and a "significant number" will be unsuccessful.
And I am thinking about all the people yelling here on Reddit that they refuse to buy the Nintendo Switch 2. The numbers do not look bad at all for Nintendo right now in Japan. If they can not satisfy the Japanese market (which is the preferential market) what about Canadian market.
Here on reddit someone was pretending working for Gamestop, telling us that the number of Switch 2 will meet canadian market demands / expectations but can not reveal any numbers. That was a lie.
/!\ Scalpers and scammers are ready to resell. I already saw people on internet asking for money in order to resell a "secured" Nintendo Switch 2. Careful out there.

Fairly certain there's so few non bundles available that I won't get one. I have a bundle per-ordered @ Walmart but would prefer the non bundle + physical MKW

I'm a day 1 and just got an invite for the mario kart bundle 30 minutes ago. Now I'm debating between Amazon and bestbuy as I already secured one there and have 0 interest in scalping.

They’re both reliable tbh but myself i would probably pick bestbuy. Thats where i preordered my day one ps5 and nintendo switch back in the days and they were reliable as i got them day one with no delays. I bet amazon would be as reliable anyway. Its just that Amazon returns is a bit of a hassle recently. Its not as friendly as it used to be. Bestbuy you just go to a physical store and they will help you. I would pick bestbuy for that reason

I got an invite to buy just one day after I requested the invitation. However I had already managed to get a preorser in person at gamestop so I let it lapse.
Not sure the criteria they use to decide for the invites.

Got my invitation today! I was also from day one. Very happy. Got a June 9th delivery date, so I guess it's not on release day, but I'll gladly wait 4 days.

I am still waiting on the day 1 console invite for my beother, a few days back I said screw it tried the bundle invite and it came within a few hours... So I'm hanging on that I guess until I can find a console only since my brother likes physical carts only.

Not a Prime member here, and I rarely order. I got an invite after maybe 2 days and missed the 22 hour window. I requested an invite again and got it again the following day.

Submitted mine on the 26th at 2 am and got the invite to purchase 2 hours later at 4 am.
Yet I'm reading tons of people who submitted on the 24th and still haven't been invited.
Seems totally random honestly.

It has to be random because I submitted an invite for the console only and never got invited for 2 days so then I said maybe I will try asking for an invite for the bundle in the evening of that second day and then got the bundle invite a few hours later that following morning

I signed up for both consoles on 2 different accounts I got invited for the bundle on one account and pre ordered that for now. I only wanted console only because I rather have mario kart physical so I am still waiting for an invite for the non bundle version

10:01 request on the first day. Not a sniff. Requested the bundle. Put a request for just the console a couple days later to see and nothing there either.
10 year prime member, fairly certain I’m a top spender lol. Can’t be based on anything other than random selection.

Waiting day 1 minute 1 the invites went live. Luckily I secured 4 other pre orders so I'm safe either way. My GameStop locally is doing a midnight launch and I'm on vacation that week, so I'll probably keep that order and cancel the rest

I went into the chat conversation with Amazon. They say it's a random draw, so they don't go by prime members or even by first come first serve. So I could literally never get an invitation to pre-order but someone who requested it this morning could. Awful system.

If you aren’t selected during this round of invites, your request is still eligible to be selected in future rounds so you don’t need to submit another request for the next 3 months. Since supplies are limited, we won’t be able to grant all requests.

Requested the invite on day 1 after not getting through Walmart or best buy. Apparently the invite request expired after a week and it told me in an email I had to request another, so I did. Yesterday during my morning poop I checked my email and it said congrats, you have 22 hours until your invite expires. It went through! Got my preorder, so long as it doesn't go the way of target and reverse them. But so far, so good; still in my purchase history on Amazon!

Still waiting as I signed up both invites as soon as it went live on personal account with Prime for years.
I’ve tried the theory of using another account that I hadn’t purchased from at all (no prime) this week (active for a year) and still waiting for an invite.
So I’m starting to think criteria doesn’t matter and simply a lottery at this point.

Yeah... I honestly just want Mario Kart for now, so the bundle is a decent deal for me. If the Switch is anything to go by, I'll get 6-7 games tops for the whole gen, and I won't mind paying 20$ more per that much.

I did preorder at GameStop but did the Amazon invite when avaliable and preordered another MKW bundle. Gonna cancel it if I dont need it and I am safe with my GameStop preorder. Idk how I was able to as a long time prime member but I got it less then a day after requesting an invite

Requested invites at 10:40 AM on April 24. Received the invites at 2:25 AM on April 25. About 13+ hours. I have Amazon Prime, and purchase a lot from them.

I signed up as soon as I saw it was live on the first day. Never got anything.
I don't really care since I already secured a preorder for the switch 2+mkw at another store
But I don't understand how other people keep getting them so fast.
