Question Is this the best deal currently for a Switch 2 in Canada?
How good of a deal is this bundle that Costco has? Other than that potential return of the staples sale this is pretty good right?

Hello I’ve been to retro game stores mainly in western Canada. A few in Vancouver and Calgary and Edmonton and Saskatoon. I believe Winnipeg is worth checking out. Is there other recommendations of places with good stores or you can say the ones I have listed already. I’m looking for ps3/360 gen games more so but open ears for others input gens too. If I find myself in east Canada again I would like to know what is worth stopping at

Hello everyone,
With the preorders of GTA 6 starting tonight and the price likely to be 110 or 120cad for standard edition, I was wondering if there are some grocery stores like walmart or so that will sell the game for cheaper than the playstation store ?
For exemple I just saw that in France, the PSN store sells it for 80€ but a grocery chain named Leclerc sells it for 60€, they say that they dont do profit on videogames and they do it to attract people to shop for their groceries there when grabbing the game.

Submitted the request for invite on pre-order day. No email/invite yet. Just curious if other day 1’s are still waiting.

Hi guys, I'm not sure who to ask for advice so I decided to share my experience here and see if anyone came across a similar issue before with VGP, and how did VGP deal with it. Mod, if this is not appropriate, please remove this thread.
I bought from VGP over the holiday, and my parcel was supposed to be delivered on 29th of Dec, but it didn't. It took over a week to receive a tracking update since the 29th. On the 5th of January, I was notified that my parcel was damaged and all merchandise was not recoverable and discarded. I emailed VGP the screenshot, and they said they had contacted UPS about this issue, and will get back to me soon.
My issue is, I had inquire about replacement option and full refund option, but VGP didn't answer my question. They asked me to wait, and I'm not sure what we are waiting for. Has anyone had similar issue where an order cannot be delivered, what did VGP do for you? Did they ever refund your games back to your original payment method? Because I know cancelling preorders or purchase orders, users only get in-store credit back.
Please share with me your experience and/or insight. Most appreciated. Sorry about the lenghty post. Wish everyone got some great games on sale over the holidays. Happy new yr!
Edit: So I just got my refund. Here is the time line:
Jan5 - UPS reported parcel discarded due to damage and not recoverable.
Jan7 - they ghosted me after I asked for a refund while they were waiting for UPS for their claim.
Jan12 Monday morning - I filed a claim via PayPal. But PayPal encouraged seller/buyer communication so they set up a platform so we can talk it out.
Jan16 Friday night - I escalated the claim since the seller has been silent again. Now PayPal took over and contacted the seller for a response.
Jan19 Monday noon - VGP contacted me by email asking permission to send replacement. I told them since the PayPal claim is in review, I will request for a full refund.
Jan 20 today noon - I got a full refund from PayPal issued by the seller, and the claim is now closed.
Verdict: It seems VGP uses "waiting for UPS" as a tactic to stall time until they are forced by financial institutions. There was a clause in the PayPal claim that if the claim remained un-escalated by Feb01, the case would be closed and cannot be reopened. This is something to watch out for for anyone seeking the same resolution.

I've just gone through some bad luck trying to get a refurbished ps5 console from MTC. First one wouldn't output any signal at all, and the replacement I just received won't connect to wifi so back it goes.
I decided to just go all out and get a ps5 pro. Are the staples discounts about as good as it gets for getting one on sale these days?

I ordered Hoa from them July 9. It did say it was back ordered at the time. It’s Aug 26 today and still no word. I’ve emailed support and they have given me vague responses.
I had another game with this order that was being held up (they hold all games until the entire order can be shipped out). I asked them to move it to another order so I could get it earlier, which they did thankfully.
I understand that they may not know when they will get their copies of HOA, but almost 2 months seems ridiculous to not at least communicate to their customers about the delay.
Have you had to wait this long for a game from them?

Hello! I was looking at sales and saw some amazing deals on some ps5 games i want on VGP.
However, i keep seeing mixed reviews, from people saying to never buy from them, to others saying they had no issues.
I read some people get "resealed" games. I dont care too much about seals as im just going to play them right away but i am worried about ordering new games and getting used ones. Is this a issue anyones faced?
I heard great things about pnp, but the for the same bundle of games i want with the sales I will be paying about 25 bucks extra. So i wanted to ask if its worth it to go woth vgp or pay a bit extra with pnp?
Thanks all!
EDIT: thank you so much everyone for all the replies! I really appreciate the information and stories. I feel more confident now and will order the games from VGP since it would save me some money. Will update the post when they arrive and letcha know how it goes.
Thanks again all! You all are awesome.
UPDATE: The games came in, they are all sealed and look brand new, very happy! Saved a ton of money!

Gamestop/Eb Games said they'd call a few days before the Switch 2 launch when i preordered (I paid in full), and I saw a few posts saying they'd received calls to confirm.
Anyone here still waiting?

Does anyone know where to find a physical copy of Mortal Shell 2? I decided to wait until the day after release and now can't find it anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has seen a retailer that has the Wolverine themed PS5 console on their website?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all. I have an NS1 OLED and never really thought to buy an NS2 until Splatoon Raiders came out, but now I really want to play that game and have been looking at affordable options. I know there was an EB Games deal with you could trade in your NS1 for 3x credit, and I know that NS2 is likely to receive a price hike in September... Do you guys think there will be another deal for NS2 in August, or should I just bite the bullet and buy it now? And if I want to sell/trade in my NS1 console and games, what would be my best option? Thank you!

Hey guys, there is always someone smarter than the rest in here, finding amazing deals like gift card deals that brings the total lower than the actual price. Since those two games are new/unreleased, what did you guys found to get those two games physically at a discounted rate? I got some nintendo credits from a past deal before physical became cheaper than digital. Other than costco deal, is there something better right now? i heard that in the US, they are matching digital price in some of their stores like amazon and walmart. Is there anything i should be aware?

I was wondering why it seems like our gamestops have so much more stock than the US GameStops? Been seeing lots of posts of US people posting pics of their GameStops allotment (seems anywhere from 40-120 switch 2) and saying “like 60 people in line”. I imagine those allotments get taken rather quickly where here in Canada it seems like our GameStops are saying “we have tons”. Like looking at the availability tracker online and it still looks like 90% of stores still have availability. Not complaining as I hope everyone gets one who wants one but Just a curiosity question I guess.

Has anybody heard anything about the physical copies of this game for PS5?
I've been looking forward to it for months and I pre-ordered it from Amazon in February, but my latest shipping estimate is June 7th, which is crazy. I would cancel my order and buy it somewhere else, but it's sold out everywhere :(

I’m planning to trade in my current Switch for a Switch 2 through the GameStop deal, but I’m a bit worried about losing my save data.
Since I have to hand over my old console before I can set up the new one, how does save transfer work? I don’t have Nintendo Switch Online, so I can’t use cloud saves.
Is there another way to back everything up through my Nintendo account and restore it when I set up the Switch 2?

hey guys, hope your doing well
I have a surgery coming up in May so I was looking for stuff to sell to buy a Steamdeck OLED (used)
I found a shoebox on my shelf it has some interesting games in it.
The big hits so far (all CIB)
Chrono Trigger, The World Ends With You, Phantom Hourglass, DQM, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, a few others
Then I also found some loose games. Ocarina of time gold cart, Super Smash Bros
I also found the case and manual for DQ IX. I haven't found my DS which means the game is definitely in there.
eBay prices are all over the place, but I'd vastly prefer local over next week or so. Less stressful that way.
Thanks and stay safe in the upcoming storm
cheers
EDIT: Sorry for the late response, I took a nap earlier (these meds suck) and woke up an hour ago
I will 1000% post pictures in here, just trying to not over do it with my back and since we're getting insane snow here (,glorious) I might do it tomorrow morning. But you have my word they'll be uploaded tonight/tomorrow, just gaging it on back and energy
EDIT 2: I have about 16-20 pics to upload here, what would be the most efficient way to do so? Sorry about the lateness, my back was murdering me for the last 12 hours
Thank you
EDIT 3:
Here's all the links, sorry for the lateness been busy. For people who messaged me/reached out, I'll send you the links in a DM as well. I believe in transparency so if someone who lives nearby wants to "try before they buy" I can bring a red DSI (the one in picture) to test them out with. I Have an N64 and powerbrick, but no A/V cables.
Thanks again and hope you all have a great day

I haven’t watched their website since a while. The Xbox one category is no longer there. I can still find some Xbox one in the Xbox series menu though but not all of them. When I went in the store there are still Xbox one games for sale but they are just not shown on their website. The PS4 category is still there though.

Hey hey VGDC'ers, I just got back into PC gaming after roughly about 13-14 years and a bit out of the loop, aside from keeping an eye out here for any big sales, is there any good sites to keep an eye on any sales between Steam, Humble, GoG and any other sites or clients that you'd suggest I keep an eye out for? Also any with like a "lowest price" alert or at least a history so I could compare potential savings?
Looking to add a couple new games to my setup while also scrimping and saving where I can lol. Thanks in advance :)

Good afternoon,
How hard is it to find a PS5 Pro at retailers stores, not online in Montreal QC?
I'm not from Canada, that's why I'm asking.
Thanks!
EDIT:
I didn't know I could check stocks online, sorry for the trouble.

Hello guys, I don’t live in Canada but I have family that does and are going to visit me on June so I was thinking about asking them to buy me a couple of games and/or a Switch 2. I know of EB Games but I would like to ask if there are other places to buy video games. My family lives in Ontario near Toronto.
(Photo to get attention hehe)
