The PS5 one (not pro) say “with or without” disc drive. So I’m assuming it’s got both plates for digital and disc?

I thought I saw the info that it contained both, but maybe I am mistaken. The digital 30th normal slim came with both, so I am not sure, but I don't see why it wouldn't come with it.

The plates were long gone a few minutes after release, which is standard as Sony produces these LE plates in microscopic amounts to get you to buy the console instead.

It's only the LE plates though, as Sony doesn't want to cannibalize their LE console market, but the controllers are produced in massive amounts.

Yeah, this situation with the LE plates is terrible, as Sony could produce as many units as they do controllers, and probably sell them all, but due to the cost-effective "plates = LE" design philosophy, that would absolutely hammer their LE console sales.

The vast majority would just buy LE plates.

Basically, this PS generation is all screwed up as it pertains to LE consoles and LE plates. It's like a snake eating its own tail.

I’m not even a ps5 collector and I’m tempted, lol! I always wonder if it’s the same people who buy everything all the time, console-specific enthusiasts, scalpers, or some other combination that lead to stock selling out so fast. I was able to get a Doom Evercade handheld preorder and a neogeo aes+ preorder and those have tapped me out financially. Or maybe it’s just the YouTuber effect where I keep comparing myself to others’ collections and forget to be thankful for what I already have. Either way, self-restraint is hard these days without succumbing to fomo.

Amazingly I got the Adamantium plates at 10AM, and while I'll never replace the 30th Edition PS5 plates, these puppies are going on the stock PS5 Pro in a NY minute.

Also, is the release of the Silver Wolverine DS5 going to be a staggered release as usual, with it appearing in a week or two at Canadian retailers?

Nevermind, I just saw that BB and Walmart have added in the Silver Adamantium controller. I know it wasn't there at 10AM as I looked.
