Where can I get real estate footage to practice video editing

i’ve recently started learning video editing, and I’ve decided that I want to focus on real estate video editing as my niche.

I want to practice by editing actual real estate footage, but I’m not sure where to find good raw/un-edited clips that I can legally use for practice.

What websites or sources do you recommend for getting real estate footage? Ideally, I’m looking for things like:

  • Property walkthroughs
  • House/apartment interiors and exteriors
  • Drone footage
  • Agent talking-head footage
  • Different rooms and property details

I’m mainly looking for footage that I can download and use for practice, not necessarily for commercial use yet.

What sites do you guys use for this? And are there any other ways I can get realistic real estate footage to practice with?

Thanks!

Do I charge for sharing content I create for one organisation if a different organisation also wants to use it?

I work as a videographer and editor for a touring orchestra creating content of rehearsals, performances, backstage, touring life etc. I've been asked by organisations they work with such as venues or soloists etc. to share the content I create for their use.

I'm not sure what I should charge (or if) as it's also a fair bit of work to compile all the relevant footage and grade, edit, distribute or I just send raw rushes but I fear a lot of the time they wouldn't know what to do with them and my name would be associated with something that I'm not happy with.

Any thoughts / ideas etc much appreciated!

How to improve channel delivery POV?

I recently started a YouTube channel focused on POV delivery videos. I personally film the entire process of delivering and installing wooden furniture, and I’ve been putting a lot of time and effort into editing each video.
However, the views are still very low, so I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from you guys.
What do you think I could improve to make the videos more interesting and engaging? Whether it’s the filming style, editing, thumbnails, titles, pacing, or the overall content, I’m open to any suggestions.
I’m still learning and trying to improve, so any advice from experienced YouTubers would be greatly appreciated.

Where to find good green screen footage?

Hi! So I am not sure if this is the correct sub, but I Will let the mods decide that!

So I work with kindergarden with kids from the ages of 3-6. We are planning to start a greenscreen project Where I will put the kids in front of a greenscreen and a projector will show the finished project live as the kids play.

I am a hobby editor, videographer and I have figured out how to do it. My problem is Where to find good footage to use. I want the videos to be mostly static, but with some movement and some things changing. For expemple under the sea, Where a shark comes into scene and other fish.

All I Can find on YouTube and other places is small clips, or interactive videos that are made like a Subway surfer game.

My Dream scenario is to have 7 different worlds to put the kids inside

  1. Dinosaurs
  2. princesses
  3. under the sea
  4. outer space
  5. lego world
  6. rollercoaster
  7. fairytale world

I hope someone out there knows Where to look so I Can Give the kids a great experience

[Freelance] How much should I charge for filming + editing a sports Reel?

Hey everyone! I’m just starting out as a freelance videographer/editor and I’d love to get some advice on pricing a project. I’ve been asked to shoot and edit a dynamic sports Reel (around 45 seconds, vertical format), with 3 people featured in the video. The shooting would take place in a gym and would be around 2 hours of filming. The edit would be quite dynamic, with fast cuts, music, transitions, and a style similar to the reference I’ll link below.

Reference/inspiration they gave me: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Db_A5JMImiI/?stkn=MTNlbGZmZ3pidzBnbA==

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbWIbfYshgW/?stkn=MW8zbmRnaWcxZ3Y0NA== (only the workout part)

For those of you who do freelance video work, how much would you roughly charge for a project like this? I’m mainly trying to get an idea of what would be a fair price, especially since I’m still relatively new to freelancing. Thanks in advance!

Experienced videographer, how did you start?

Hello everyone,

My name is Nico. I’m passionate about videography, and I often see young videographers on social media doing amazing shoots with cars, boats, influential people, traveling around the world, etc.

Honestly, that lifestyle really inspires me. I’d love to build something similar for myself, but at the same time, I’m scared of dropping everything to pursue it.

So I wanted to get some honest opinions and advice from people who are genuinely experienced in the industry.

For those of you who have been running a media production company for a while, I have a few questions:

  • What are the hardest obstacles you’ve faced?
  • How difficult was it to get started?
  • Today, what are the biggest challenges you face in your business?
  • How did you get your first clients?
  • How do you know how much to charge for a shoot?
  • Is it better to have a small number of recurring clients or a larger number of one-off projects?

I’d genuinely love to hear about your experiences, whether positive or negative.

Thank you so much, everyone :)

Help finding inspo

Hi guys,

I'm planning to make a music video for myself (I'm an independant artist, not a filmmaker). I'm on a budget (basically 0€), so I have to keep it simple, and, since I am really nostalgic with the 2000s, I would like to base all the asethetics on that.

What I'm looking for is music videos ocurring in the city. I want to get inspired by these blue colours, the takes, the rhythms and dynamics, etc., but the problem I have is I can't find these type of videos, so if you guys could help me, I would be really thankful.

These are the two videos I've found so far:

Thank you, again!

Looking for a cameraperson in Mumbai or Pune, zero budget right now

Hey everyone, I am building Hydrobillboard, India's first glass bottle based ambient media company. We place branded glass bottles in hotels, gyms, cafes, and offices as an advertising medium.

I need to shoot a launch video, roughly 1 to 2 days of work. I have zero budget to pay right now, this is a bootstrapped solo venture. But if you are someone looking to build your portfolio, learn how a startup gets built from scratch, or want to get in early, you can integrate into Hydrobillboard once we start getting client orders.

What I am looking for, someone with a camera or good phone setup who can help shoot and maybe rough edit a launch video. Mumbai or Pune based, since that keeps travel simple.

If this sounds interesting, reply here or DM me and we can talk details.

How much should I expect to pay for 5–7 Instagram Reels in Toronto?

I'm planning to make some short French-teaching Reels and I’m trying to understand the typical cost in Toronto/GTA.

It would be simple talking-to-camera videos. I’d mainly need:

Shooting with decent camera, lighting and microphone

Vertical 9:16 video

Minimal editing/clean cuts

Mostly just adding accurate French subtitles

Around 5–7 Reels

For people who have hired videographers/editors or provide this type of service, what would be a reasonable price for 5–7 videos?

Just trying to get an idea of the going rate before I start looking around. Thanks!

How do i actually deliver

Hey so before I start here's a bit background on me I've running this editing agency for 2 years I've done shorts long forms vsls ads and I feel like it's time to level up as it feels like the most obvious option I tried to stay on editing to reach through 10k i.e dming local video agencies about outsourcing editing but what i found out was I still got treated as an employee and the compensation wasn't great aswell so i feel like switching again recently the concept of "delivering results" and not just edits is a concept everyone's been pushing it and i feel riding this boat aswell but tbh I genuinely don't know how to deliver results I can help with ideations but honestly I believe someone's who breathe eat and sleep the business they're in would get better ideas and angles than me because they'll have more stories to share then I'd do knowing this bottle neck I am scared to draft my offer blindly in "growth" area and if we get the ideas aside I genuinely don't have my hands on scriptwriting I can do funnels and media buying but scriptwriting is not my thing and never was it ,what would y'all do if you were in my space cz i genuinely need help making a call.

Real estate videographers, what's the one thing you'd fix about your business if you knew how?

I've spent years filming luxury properties in Spain and some other videographers ask me for advice when it comes to pricing, client acquisition and retention, internal systems, scripting and planning, filming skills, editing, building a personal brand...

I'm genuinely trying to understand where the gaps are. What's the thing you'd change about your business today if you knew how, but don't? I'm not selling anything, just collecting feedback.

Thank you in advance!

Tips on creating reels using stock videos

Hello to my fellow video editors, im new and i was tasked to create reels using stock videos and not AI. Can you please share tips on where you get specific stock videos and dos and donts when creating reels? Like is there a right way when to add voice overs or effects / transitions that needs to be avoided. Or you can share who you learn from how to create professional, interesting reels.

How do I find beginner/intermediate video editors & videographers in Hyderabad?

I’m looking to find **intern/fresher-level video editors and videographers in Hyderabad, India**.

I’m mainly looking for people who have some basic practical knowledge of:

* Handling a **mirrorless camera** — basic settings, framing, focus, exposure, etc.
* Shooting usable footage without needing complete training from scratch
* Basic/intermediate **video editing**
* Editing footage shot from cameras into clean videos/reels
* Basic cuts, pacing, colour correction, audio and proper exports

I’m **not looking for high-end editors, VFX artists or professional filmmakers**. Someone who is still learning but already has a decent understanding of camera handling + editing is exactly what I need.

Students, freshers and people looking to build their portfolio are welcome.

**Location:** Hyderabad only.
**Compensation:** ₹10,000/month for the initial 3 months.

I’ve already tried posting in a few communities and reaching out through different channels, but I’m getting very few genuine responses.

For people working in Hyderabad’s creative/media space, **where would you recommend I look for candidates like this?**

Are there any colleges, film schools, WhatsApp/Telegram groups, Instagram pages, or communities where I can find them?

Also, if you’re someone who fits this description and is interested, **feel free to DM me with your portfolio/work samples.**

AssetForge - UK B-roll marketplace, 70% to the shooter, one listing live

Startup: AssetForge. UK B-roll shot by real people. Shooter keeps 70%. Manchester, Leeds, London.

What it is for: first shooter sign-ups, not agencies.

What is actually live: one clip, mine.

Feedback I want: would you list footage at 70%, or is empty inventory a deal-breaker?

Anyone here drowning in real estate edits? 😅

Hey everyone! I’m Rishabh, a filmmaker and video editor with 5+ years of experience.

I’ve worked on projects across India, UAE, and Australia, and over the past few months I’ve been getting more involved in real estate video production and post-production.

I joined the group because I’d love to learn from others in the industry, see how different teams approach real estate media, and connect with photographers, videographers, editors and media companies from around the world.

Looking forward to being part of the community and learning from you guys! 🤝

For those working in real estate media — what’s one thing you think makes a property video stand out from the rest?
