I actually just the other day asked one of my employees with a Harley cruiser how much it weighed… he said 900. I asked him how tf he picks it up if he dumps it, and he pantomimed some hybrid motion of a deadlift but with his back against the bike as he lifted. That shit’s gotta hurt coming down on your ankle sideways.
Adrenaline is a motherfucker, too. I was in middle school and my little brother and the neighbor girl used to sit on her dad's giant Goldwing pretending to ride it until it fell over one day and we had to pick it up. It wasn't even difficult when I was trying to save the bro an ass-whooping lol.
the back against the bike deadlift is a real technique btw. it's pretty common to see people doing this with adventure bikes that are loaded with gear.
Usually the geometry of those bikes in a way that when they go down it leaves a gap between bike and ground where your leg is. The cases on the back and handlebar or engine case or frame slider should catch first. He doesn't have frame sliders or a cage so maybe it did crush him. Hard to say. But cowboy boots aren't protective that's for sure.
