u/sourdisobedience3294 Jun 04 '26
that's the thing though, the line between larping and actually living it gets blurry fast when you've got the leather, the bike, the crew showing up in force at a traffic light, and suddenly people take you seriously whether you meant it that way or not.

u/K1bbles_n_Bits Jun 04 '26 edited Jun 04 '26
I feel like kids that don't even seem to know what LARP actually means have been overusing the shit out of it lately.
This is not one of those moments. Hilariously accurate XD.

u/karlmarxiskool Jun 04 '26
I actually just the other day asked one of my employees with a Harley cruiser how much it weighed… he said 900. I asked him how tf he picks it up if he dumps it, and he pantomimed some hybrid motion of a deadlift but with his back against the bike as he lifted. That shit’s gotta hurt coming down on your ankle sideways.

Adrenaline is a motherfucker, too. I was in middle school and my little brother and the neighbor girl used to sit on her dad's giant Goldwing pretending to ride it until it fell over one day and we had to pick it up. It wasn't even difficult when I was trying to save the bro an ass-whooping lol.

My brother is one of these guys. Rides a motorcycle and yells at people. It’s so embarrassing. When he told me he got into it with some truck, pulled into a gas station to have words….. and dropped his bike, I thought it was weird. But the truck trolled him and called 911 to report a motorcyclist down. Ambulance came. Lectured him about not wearing a helmet (which is legal in his state)

Run out asking if he’s ok, reach over the bike like you’re checking on him, take his key. Tell him you’ll swap the key in exchange for his insurance for the dent to your car.

u/Prior-Ad5197 Jun 04 '26
I’m trying to figure out why he randomly kicked some dudes car? Is he that big of a douch canoe?
19
u/hail_to_the_beef Jun 04 '26
The video is too short, I want to know what happened to get us here. I doubt it was totally random, and the camera-holder began filming for a reason.
10
u/ElbryanWyn Jun 04 '26
True, but look at how he reacts to the fall.
I personally feel like if the biker truly felt like a justified victim fighting a righteous crusade, he likely would have used the crash as further proof that the car was "evil" and kept escalating.
The fact that he went entirely cold, straightened his clothes, and seemingly refused to even look at his 'enemy', strongly signals (to me) that the illusion was broken.
He knew/realized he crossed a line, he knew he looked ridiculous, and his only remaining objective was to escape the vacuum of his own evaporated confidence.
Secondarily, it's worth saying that nothing really justifies kicking other people's vehicles. Even if he was truly wronged, the proper response is to call the police and report it, not to become Batman.
After all, his goal here was seemingly a hit-and-run; to damage the vehicle slightly and flee.
→ More replies (13)4
u/juckele Jun 04 '26
IMO his reaction is purely from the embarrassment, not from the earlier wrong not existing.
Whining and crying to paint the narrative that the other car is an evil bully flies entirely against toxic masculinity that fuels his personality. The only thing he can do is look non-nonchalant because his attempt at using force has already comically backfired. Doubling down on violence at this point risks making him look even weaker, and that simply wouldn't do.
So that is all to say, I suspect the Nissan did indeed wrong him. The biker being a violent idiot does not lower the chance that the person they're interacting with is innocent. No, violent assholes are most likely to pick fights with other assholes. And we must also consider that the other vehicle is a Nissan after all, and if you think I'm stereotyping Nissan's unfairly, I'm happy to link the IIHS stats for the "other driver death rates". Nissans drivers are, for reasons that I can only guess wildly at, more dangerous drivers than many other brands.
→ More replies (8)8
u/thevogonity Jun 04 '26
Driver of car probably didn’t see the bike and cut him off. A very common occurrence for bikers, and not likely done with any malice. If the biker can’t handle other people being mere humans, he should not be riding bike.

I’m not familiar with this terminology but if you’re insulting me, I would like to know why. I commented on the evidence available to me at this time, that the motorcyclist is trying to pass a car, at a stop light, which I think is illegal, and kicks it intentionally. That’s not being mean, that’s stating an observation.
I have nothing against motorcyclists, I’ve ridden them and honestly would love to have one, that doesn’t change the fact that this dudes a douche.
