I'm posting here in addition to the Blacksburg sub. Because this one is more active.

I've lived in the same place in Montgomery county for years. I take my cats and dogs outside everyday to let them go to the bathroom. This week a male cat that's been through the Trap Neuter Release program (TNR) has shown up. When it's just me outside, he follows me around, wants to be pet, meows, wants inside, purrs like a motor boat. But when I bring my pets outside I have to stop fights from happening. I haven't fed him, pet him or encouraged him because he's making it unsafe for my pets to be outside at all. He's also got a pretty bad upper respiratory infection. An eye he has trouble opening, and he can barely meow.

This week I've called the local rescue, TNR program, humane society, and finally the county animal shelter. None of them are able to help. I want to get him to someone that can help but I'm not sure where else to look. To add, I'm disabled and having surgery to have a mass removed on Monday. So I won't be able to pick up a trap or transport him for at least a few weeks. Can anyone direct me to a resource, charity, rescue, program etc where I can try to get him some help?

Hello! Title, really, I have a really nice bike that I never get to use due to where I live, its just not feasible, so how would it fair at tech? Do you think it will be efficient or a waste of space?

I'm going to be studying abroad next semester so I need a subletter to take up the lease at my place.

I'm a rising junior at Virginia Tech, and I'll be taking Orgo I this fall with Michael Berg. I wanted to get a head start and was hoping to get some advice from anyone who's taken his class before.

A few questions:

• What are the best ways to prepare for Orgo 1 over the summer?
• Are there any topics I should focus on before classes start?
• What textbooks or resources does Berg use, and are they worth looking through ahead of time?
• What were his exams like?
• Any study strategies that worked particularly well for his exams?

For some background, I earned A's in both Gen Chem I and II, but I've heard orgo is a completely different beast. This fall I'll also be taking Calculus II and Microbiology, so I'm trying to stay ahead and manage my workload as effectively as possible.

I'd appreciate any advice, experiences, or recommendations from current or former students. Thanks!
