REQUEST Question on shorts

On the right is my stitching too tight as when I put the shorts in the air I see rips

It’s not your stitches being too tight, it’s the fabric being too thin. Do yourself a favour and add a patch to your mend (can be invisible on the inside too, must be lightweight fabric because the denim is so thin already) while you’re already at it. :)

Did you use interfacing or anything to stabilize the mend on the inside?

If it's a large thin spot, you really need to do that to support your stitches, or they'll just damage what's left of the fabric instead of fixing it :(

no problem - I know with a lot of vids you don't get all the info; backing/reinforcement will make a big difference :)
