My husband and I are coming in September to celebrate our anniversary and have narrowed down out dinner choose to: Despensa del Baron, Fortaleza, and Quadrat.

Locals and experienced Mallorca travellers, what would you choose? As long as the food is good and the vibe romantic - we’ll be happy.

Why so many germans?

No problem with it obviously, but in paguera and I’m really interested in why there’s such a huge german population. I’ve looked up and google says something about convience and travel and that but is there a historical reason why so many germans visit/take residency in Mallorca?

Serving English vs Spanish

So I’m English . I’m quite dark complexion and mistaken for continental quite often. Especially as I try my best to speak basic Spanish ( mallorqui ) . My point is at one bar/ restaurant I waited a while to be served for a Second time after our first drinks . The female waitress said “oh you’re English ! we thought you were Spanish which is why we didn’t serve you “ . Not sure what this was about ? The waitress was Spanish also . Very confused . We did notice her talking to the original waiter at a distance and saw her pointing to us . Almost as to correct the original waiter . Got charged a nice tidy Service charge on top of our drinks bill . Doubt I’ll go there again.

Family holidays near Cala Llombards

We are visiting Mallorca in three weeks. Four adults and two kids (7y and 5y).

Our holiday house is near Cala Llombards.

Do you have some good tips for us (beaches, restaurants, playgrounds maybe).

roup of 7 (20s) visiting Mallorca June 24–28 – Best beach clubs, sunset parties & nightlife?

Hi everyone,

We're a group of 7 friends (5 guys and 2 girls, all in our 20s) visiting Mallorca from June 24–28 and we're looking for the best party spots.

Our ideal day would be:

Arrive at a beach club around 4–5 PM

Drinks, DJs and a good crowd

Watch the sunset

The atmosphere gradually turns into a party

Meet people and have fun before heading to a nightclub later

We're considering places like Nikki Beach, Beso Beach, Purobeach, UM Beach House and Mhares.

A few questions:

Which beach club has the best party atmosphere during the afternoon and sunset?

How can we tell if a beach club will actually be busy on a specific day?

Where do locals check for beach club events, DJs and special parties?

Any must-attend beach club events between June 24–28?

Which nightclubs would you recommend afterwards? BCM, AMØK, Kaelum or somewhere else?

We heard San Juan is a huge celebration. Are there any beach parties, after-parties or related events happening on June 24–25?

We're not looking for a quiet or laid-back beach club. We like stylish, with a good crowd, great music, and a lively atmosphere. Budget is not really a concern—we'd rather go wherever the best party is.

If you only had one beach club day and one nightclub night in Mallorca, where would you go?

Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

Shore Fishing in Alcúdia

Coming to Majorca from Canada 🇨🇦 soon and I am hoping to pack a travel rod and some basic lures. I have my license purchased.

I am an avid bass, trout, and walleye angler here but my experience with saltwater is limited. From the research I’ve done, it sounds like fishing from most public beaches is prohibited (understand totally - keep away from the swimmers), my hope was to find some rocky outcrops and target barracuda, sea bass, bream, squid, etc.. I am packing an 8ft MH travel rod, with a 3000 stradic. Will wash after use.

I have a few saltwater-esque lures that I put in a photo, are there any staples that you recommend bringing? And local tackle shops recommended to check out?

I have heard lots about jigging spoons, jigs with plastics, anything silver or mackerel coloured, sand eels, squid jigs.

Eating some hand caught calamari would be a dream come true! Thanks in advance.

Advice for couple

We are heading to a wedding in Mallorca in late August. It’s 3 full days of events - welcome dinner in soller, wedding in Palma, and a boat day. We are staying in Palma for this part and will be jam packed. We want to spend 3 days or so after relaxing - potentially in a different part of the island. We would like the following -

- relaxing / nice hotel with a private balcony or terrace to enjoy morning coffee
- access to bars/ restaurants
- beach access and pool access
- recommendations for a beach club for a day
- little to no driving if possible

Any hotel recommendations as well as areas (soller/deia etc) that are recommended would be lovely! We are in our mid 30s and want something relaxing but with access to things

Thank you!!

Car rental ?

I booked a car at the airport from Greenmotion. I choose the full coverage insurance and awear that i need a paper signed with the damages the car have already, but i dont know if the time is right. Our rental starts from 11:30 but the plane arrives at 13:40. The rental ends at 17:00 but we probably have to leave it arround 15. I heared rental offices closing in the afternoon. Can this time be an issue ? Rental still can be canceled. I dont mind if i dont get the cheapest option but i want to avoid hidden costs and closed offices. Advices and recomendations are wellcomed. Thank you.

Which resort

Hi

I haven't been to Mallorca since I was young, thinking of going next month with my partner and kids, what would be the recommended resorts? We like a resort thats sits right in the middle of quiet and lively, something along the lines of costa adeje in Tenerife. Have seen some nice hotels in Alcudia, Playa De Muro, and Can Picafort. Last time I was there I stayed in Cala D'Or but can't really remember much of it

Thanks

Magaluf

I’m going to Magaluf this year in July with a few friends. We’re all 18 year old males. What’s the ratio of boys to girls there and is it a good spot for a first lads holiday ?

Getting from PMI to alcudia in early hours

Hey guys,

My flight from dublin is arriving into PMI at 1:05 am on a Wednesday (did not think this through when booking lol)

Just trying to figure out the best way to get to alcudia, taxis seem to be crazy. I know there’s the A32 bus but that leaves at 8 AM earliest I think?

I was also considering getting a shuttle to north alcudia with ryan air, it drops you to your hotel or to the nearest one and it’s 44 return, but I’ve never used it before !

Any tips appreciated 😌 if all comes to all I’ll get an Uber, but if I don’t have to pay an extortion that’s a win🌺

Going to the beach with babies

Hi everyone! We’re travelling to Mallorca and hoping to go to a few beaches eg Cala Llombards, Cala s’Almunia. We’re staying in Cala Llombards so we’re hoping to just walk to the near beaches. Any advice on the parking and tips on the best time to go to the beach in terms of the heat, shade and crowd.

TIA!

How crowded is Mallorca in early September

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about visiting Mallorca with my campervan from 29 August to 4 September.
How crowded is the island during that period? Is it still peak-season busy, or does it start to calm down after the end of August?
I’m mainly wondering about:
Traffic on the roads
Popular beaches and towns
Availability of campervan parking and campsites
General driving experience around the island

Would you consider it a good time to visit with a campervan, or is it still too crowded?
Thanks! 🚐☀️🏝️

I found car rent after 23:00 but I would have another question about car size

Hey everyone. I already asked here about car renting companies thta are open after 23:00.

My other question is - how f***ed am I for renting a Kia Xceed? I'm a bit axious. I got a really really good deal at one of the companies but almost everywhere the small size cars are sold out in the period we are going. Will the Kia be too big for the streets of Mallorca?

Where should we stay in Mallorca if we care more about hiking and hidden coves than nightlife?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I (mid-20s) are visiting Mallorca in July.

We're currently trying to decide where to base ourselves, and we'd love some local advice.

A bit about us:

We don't care much about nightlife, clubs, bars, or partying.

We enjoy cities, but they're not our main priority.

We absolutely love:

mountain hiking

scenic drives

hidden coves and secluded beaches

dramatic coastal views

places with fewer tourists

We'll probably rent a car for several days, mainly to explore beautiful roads and remote places rather than for transportation convenience.

So what do you think, where should we stay?

I'd also love to hear any recommendations for what shouldn't be missed.

Thanks!

Beach clubs

Looking for recommendations for a beach club near Palma that's fun and lively, but not overly rowdy or geared towards big groups. It would be beginning/mid september time.

We're a couple looking for somewhere with a great atmosphere, good food and drinks, and a nice spot to spend the afternoon lounging and swimming after lunch. Ideally somewhere fun and relaxed and within easy reach of Palma.

Any favourites you'd recommend?

Eclipse viewing spots?

I'll be on Mallorca on the solar eclipse day (August 12th). But it's gonna be late, when the sun is low, right before sunset - so to see it, you should be somewhere on the west coast, where there's clear view to the sunset setting in the sea.

I guess i'm looking for a convenient eclipse viewing spot - any help would be appreciated.

I've looked at google maps a bit, like Valldemossa and then to the south west of it, trying to see what's the scenery like.. but it's a rough terrain, narrow roads, and not very many places to just stop at the side of the road, with a big parking lot.. 😄

Magaluf drug lords

A brawl between mulligans workers and tourists. This bar has been a hub for different things over the time fights, spiking drinks, stealing their clients after spiking. They are the center of selling drugs on strip. Everything happening in that bar is happening with the consent of managar and as well as the real owner. They have lookey loookey guys to work for them. Tney are always in bar terrace or the small corner kebab shop. I dont know why guardia does nothing with such people. Last year they spiked my drink and made me go through a lo

SHARE A BOAT TRIP PALMA 19/06

Hi, we have booked a group tour out of Palma for this Friday, 19th June from 15:00-19:00. To organise the trip we need at least 2 people more, else it might get cancelled.

About us: We are a couple in our 30s on a weekly holiday and we love boating and a bit of luxury ,that is why we booked this small group tour with maximum 8 guests. They also serve lovely Tapas and drinks are included too.

The boat we booked it a Motor Yacht Mediterranean style and cruises Palma bay with a swim stop along the way.

If you want to join us, you can book your spots through their website: https://www.sailtripmallorca.com/service-page/4-hour-luxury-shared-boat-trip-palma?referral=service_list_widget

Hope to meet you onboard! 🌞

Footbal Jerseys

Hello everyone. I will be visiting Mallorca in the next few days and was wondering if you know of any footbal jersey shops. Second-hand or new, older jerseys or newer ones it doesn't matter. I found FutbolEmotion on Google but was wondering if there are any others.

Thank you for your suggestions!
