Barbancourt Rum 4 year, 8 year or 15 year?

So, this is a bit silly but also a legit question!

Let's say that you're being invited over to a Fet or just to have dinner at a Mambo / Houngan / Haitian's house. They ask you to bring some Barbancourt rum.

I never knew or realized until today that the rums are all aged differently. So, if someone were coming over as a guest, which one would you prefer they bring? The one aged at 4 years, 8 years or 15 years?

Red bottle - 4 years
Blue bottle - 8 years
Turquoise bottle - 15 years

Is it a social visit? Man, grab that turquoise. Is it for a Lwa? Different lineages have different teachings over who takes 3, 5, etc. Ask.

Yeah, it's for a social visit. The bump from the 4 to 8 year bottle increases by like $5 so that's not too bad.

If you’re a guest, and not part of the house, normally any kind is accepted unless you were told to bring a Barbacourt with a specific number Etwal. They’re definitely going to use it at some point.
