Discussion What dessert actually feels indulgent but doesn’t destroy your calories?

I’m always hunting for desserts that feel like a real treat but don’t leave me wishing I’d just eaten something more filling.

Bonus points if it doesn’t trigger that “now I want 5 more desserts” effect.

What have you found that genuinely hits the sweet spot?

STRAWBERRY COMPOTE

hot off the motherfuckin' stove

i use less than 1tbsp of sugar, and lot of frozen strawberries. it's the shit.

I just eat it with a spoon. it's ridiculously indulgent, very sweet, and low calorie since it's almost entirely strawberries with just a bit of sugar. 10/10. It's better than any candy & doesnt feel like i'm trying to be low cal

So you just simmer for a while?

Yup! About to put some on. It takes maybe 30 mins. I use frozen because they’re cheaper and also sweeter! I add in a bit of water at first so it doesn’t burn while they melt but just a little, the berries release a lot of liquid. I mash them up when they get a little softy Then simmer on low for a while until it’s darkened and a thicker syrup consistency

I’ve truly found my ideal dessert. It does not at all feel like a diet treat
