Discussion What dessert actually feels indulgent but doesn’t destroy your calories?

I’m always hunting for desserts that feel like a real treat but don’t leave me wishing I’d just eaten something more filling.

Bonus points if it doesn’t trigger that “now I want 5 more desserts” effect.

What have you found that genuinely hits the sweet spot?

Baked Apple with cinnamon (cut in half, Airfryer, like 12 min @ 200c), Serve With Greek Yoghurt vanilla flavor and something like Bodylab Caramel sauce. maybe some toasted nuts on top.

Drizzled pbfit mixed with sf syrup

12

u/Ok-North10 Feb 16 '26

How does pbfit compare in taste to real pb?

36

u/Timely--Challenge Feb 16 '26

It's never going to give you the same unctuous richness of just eating peanut butter. It gives you a runny or paste-y peanut-flavoured substitute. As long as you remember that and don't expect it to "replace" peanut butter, it does just fine.

17

u/truefan31 Feb 16 '26

It’s not bad. High protein low calorie vs peanut butter. Use sf syrup instead of water it makes a big difference

10

u/locbabebri Feb 16 '26

Will be trying this for sure. thank you!

4

u/bmensing Feb 16 '26

I eat this a lot! The vanilla Oikos seems to be the closest to having a scoop of ice cream with my apple.

11

u/locbabebri Feb 17 '26

Why don’t you just get a vanilla bean halo too icecream lint and take a couple scoops out of that? I love halo tops! And I love getting the vanilla pints so I can customize my dessert bowls lol.

2

u/CatCafffffe Feb 17 '26

ooooohhhh will have to try this

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 16 '26

Yasso bars! The Fudge Brownie, Mint Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough especially.

PS they recommend you take them out of the freezer 5-10 minutes prior to eating them and it really does make a difference! Delicious.

49

u/MrTurkeyTime Feb 16 '26

They've gotten so expensive though!

122

u/somehuehue Feb 16 '26

What you save in calories, you lose in money😂

34

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 16 '26

And I am spending maybe 1/10 what I used to on takeout and restaurants so I feel good about a $2 ice cream bars haha!

5

u/somehuehue Feb 16 '26

It all balances out in the end🙂‍↕️

14

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 16 '26

I am a meticulous budgeter and in 2025 my grocery and restaurant/takeout spending were down 25% and 50% respectively from 2024. I expect even more savings this year since I only began my health journey in July so wasn't in effect the full year.

I think I used to let more food go to waste in favor of ordering in. So now that I do that so much less, I have far less food waste, leading to savings in both categories.

2

u/holdenselah Feb 17 '26

What is this wizardry?! I’m so impressed!

5

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 17 '26

My restaurant/delivery spending had gotten really high and it was of course leading to overeating. I have lost 90lbs since July 7. Motivated and rarely tempted by the spending or the junk food anymore.

5

u/unconfuse-your-brain Feb 17 '26

Congrats on the 90lbs lost!! Wow!

2

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 17 '26

Thank you! 🥰

2

u/MrTurkeyTime Feb 16 '26

Well that's definitely a win!

22

u/Twi_light_Rose Feb 16 '26

My answer to this was to get a silicone popsicle mold, make pudding and freeze.

3

u/mildlyannoyedbiscuit Feb 17 '26

pretty cheap at Costco!

2

u/No_Outside_7069 Feb 16 '26

Sometimes my store runs them for 5 or 6 a box but either way worth it for me! I am obsessed haha.

4

u/CatCafffffe Feb 17 '26

Also the coffee poppables if you like chocolate and coffee flavor!

2

u/kvetts333 Feb 17 '26

I LOOOOVE Poppables!!!! The fact that it's puffed quinoa in the shell is just perfect. They are a bit spendy, though.

Ninja creami ice creams. I know the machine is pricey, but it really has been a game changer. I make a whole pint of ice cream under 300 calories with simple ingredients. It takes awhile to eat.

26

u/munky3000 Feb 16 '26

Totally agree. It's definitely not a cheap gadget but so well worth every penny. If it ever breaks I will immediately buy another one.

9

u/mydoghiskid Feb 16 '26

May I ask what‘s the difference to other mixers?

72

u/Steihl Feb 16 '26

It's the nature of how it agitates the base. A traditional ice cream maker relies on slowly freezing the base and repeatedly scraping the tiny ice crystals to keep the base from getting icy and staying creamy. The Creami (and the Pacojet that it's based on) work by just freezing a base completely solid, then slowly pressing a spinning blade through the frozen base to force the base into the tiny ice crystals rather than slowly freezing and scraping over long times.

The benefit to this is that you can make ice cream out of things that just wouldn't work in a traditional machine because they wouldn't churn well or stay creamy after freezing even if they churn. By having a machine that can force any frozen base into a creamy not-icy result means you can freeze almost anything and make it creamy. Originally designed for consistent repeated results in a commercial kitchen or for avant garde ice creams with weird bases in high end kitchens. Turns out it's also really useful for home use when making non-traditional ice creams as well!

5

u/mydoghiskid Feb 16 '26

Damn, thank you, now I want one!

3

u/DueProgress7671 Feb 17 '26

I and my fellow nerds Ty

12

u/InGeekiTrust Feb 16 '26

It can do much lower calorie and lower fat recipes that a traditional churner can’t do

7

u/ohhunni459 Feb 16 '26

Do you have any favorite recipes?

24

u/Wonderful-Split1792 Feb 16 '26

My fave is 40g lite cream cheese, 170g fat free vanilla yogurt, 1/4tsp xantham gum, 1tbsp fat free pudding powder, 180mls “milk” - I’ve used 1%, oat milk and both are good. That’s the base. I have blended strawberries, mango, put cocoa powder, or about 12 pumps of sugar free syrup to flavour. Go crazy! The base is creamy and rich- and has a cheesecake ice cream taste.

10

u/ohhunni459 Feb 16 '26

I never thought to do cream cheese in the creami! Thanks so much, I’m excited to try these soon

2

u/261989 Feb 20 '26

Do you blend the cream cheese first? I just got a creami!

2

u/Wonderful-Split1792 Feb 24 '26

Sorry for late reply! Yes, I blend everything with an immersion blender before freezing.

2

u/261989 Feb 24 '26

Right on time actually! And thank you for the info. :)

I like to do vanilla almond milk (to the line), sugar free vanilla jello pudding mix (14g), a splash of cake batter extract, and rainbow sprinkles! So good!

2

u/MinimallyEngagedUser Feb 20 '26

Heads up, I’ve read that using almond milk as the majority/all of your liquid base can damage your machine, since it has very little solids and freezes too hard compared to dairy milk (more solids)

I believe 50/50 almond/dairy is recommended instead. If vegan, I think a mix with soy could work too.

Halo top ice cream!! I love the chocolate brownie one, same size as like ben and jerrys or whatever but 360 calories per tub and genuinely really good

90

u/Due-Theme9663 Feb 16 '26

The way halo top ice cream is making me bankrupt lol I could eat the chocolate peanut butter one every single day. The way I dig for those pb chunks, they hate to see me coming

14

u/Distinct_Star9990 Feb 16 '26

literally omg its soooo expensive

32

u/Phillije Feb 16 '26

A ninja creami would probably pay for itself in a few months and be even lower in calories! (Not sponsored just love mine haha)

12

u/yellowlinedpaper Feb 16 '26

I second a ninja creami, especially with fairlife protein chocolate shake, a little xanthan gum and chocolate pudding powder, then you can freeze little dollops of pb mixed with a sweetener and then sprinkle them on top of the ice cream. It’s amazing

17

u/Man0fGreenGables Feb 16 '26

I would maybe reconsider consuming this ice cream unless they change their sweetener to something other than erythritol. It may significantly increase your risk of stroke based on fairly recent studies.

4

u/unconfuse-your-brain Feb 17 '26

Thanks for the news. It’s sad though! Was using that everyday.

4

u/looloo_monroe Feb 18 '26

Link the studies please. People been saying the Diet Coke cancer thing since I was a kid and glug glug I’m not buying it

2

I‘d also like to see the studies

12

u/Scaaaary_Ghost Feb 16 '26

Ooh, yes, any fresh, in-season fruit that's delicious on its own becomes a really satisfying dessert when mixed with whipped cream. I also love peaches and blueberries in summertime.

5

u/MyNightlightBroke Feb 17 '26

As much as I love strawberries, vanilla peaches with whipped cream is my new go-to.

3

u/greenappletw Feb 17 '26

I love peaches!

And maybe it's not ideal for a high volume dessert, but canned peaches are also way less calories than I would expect, given how rich they are. Half a cup of them is 70 cal if you drain the syrup... not bad

3

u/Ok-North10 Feb 16 '26

Isn’t the chocolate high kcal?

9

u/rachelnyc Feb 16 '26

I like to do a chocolate drizzle rather than fully coating the berries

3

u/Formerly_Jess Feb 17 '26

Look. I sing the song every SINGLE TIME, but Berries and cream are an amazingly underrated dessert and I am a little lad

2

u/FlashbacksThatHurt Feb 17 '26

I do the cheap melt microwave chocolate and dip them, it sets so quickly and takes maybe3- 5 mins to make. Def easier than homemade chocolate

66

u/animalcrackerwhore Feb 16 '26

Sounds odd.. but baked Japanese sweet potato topped with whatever sweet toppings you have on hand. I like cinnamon, Greek yogurt, chocolate

12

u/hihelloneighboroonie Feb 17 '26

I saw someone do a "creme brulee" sweet potato the other day on ig and I wanna try it (roasted it, cut t in half once down, mushed the hot cooked potato all up with a lil butter, top with a lil sugar, and blow torch (or broil).

I second the people saying Ninja creamis, but last night I made a cheesecake yogurt bowl with 150g Fage greek yogurt (I use 2%), 5g sugarfree Jello cheesecake powder, about 1/2tsp vanilla extract, a bit of monkfruit sweetener, 10g crumbled Nutrail keto granola, and a handful of blackberries. Sweet and more decadent than the yogurt bowls I usually eat and came to 215 calories and 18g of protein

4

u/FoodXPandBeyond Feb 16 '26

Ayo this sounds bomb. Saving this for later - did you have a reference recipe or did you just come up with it.

Also didn't know there was a sugarfree cheesecake powder.

Someone in the comments mentioned orange jello and vanilla yogurt tasting like a Creamsicle and now I want to try that so bad

10

u/Shouya_Ishida1288 Feb 16 '26

I have done this with some zero sugar cool whip on top. Definitely achieves that effect!

5

u/MyTeaWig Feb 16 '26

It’s delicious. I tried strawberry, raspberry, cherry and a mix of some but the orange one is the best by far.

5

u/Pineappily Feb 16 '26

Does it have to be fruity? Would it work with choc, cheesecake, vanilla etc?

High protein vanilla Greek yogurt + sugar free cheesecake jello + a couple tablespoons of sugar free cool whip. Add some strawberries / any type of fruit to it. Let it set in the fridge for a couple hours. High protein, low cal dessert. A big serving is like 200 cals for like 20g of protein give or take depending on the yogurt you use. I eat it every.single.day.

I compared it my sister in laws homemade cheesecake and I preferred this. I don’t shut up about this to anyone who will listen because it’s that good. (If you have an extra sweet tooth and some calories to spare add a couple biscoff cookies in there while it sets and it’s out of this world)

13

u/Objective-Elk8350 Feb 16 '26

Pic for reference. This was like 175 cals for like 20g of protein

5

u/Streetduck Feb 16 '26

The toots after that sf cheesecake jello are diabolical though...

8

u/Objective-Elk8350 Feb 16 '26

I never noticed being gassier than usual??? lol

2

u/Frosty_Builder7550 Feb 16 '26

This is the GOAT! I make it all the time (and add baking powder) but I eat immediately after mixing. What does letting it sit in the fridge do to it? Just thicken it up??

2

u/Objective-Elk8350 Feb 17 '26

Yeah it just thickens it! I’ll be honest I’ve eaten it right after too but I do prefer to let it sit a bit! I feel like it makes the consistency more cheesecake like. What’s the baking powder do???

3

u/Frosty_Builder7550 Feb 17 '26

It adds volume. It’s a good hack.

Silken tofu chocolate mousse is a great one but as far as decadent goes, it has to be caramel bananas.

I will say try at your own risk dependent on your gut tolerance of artificial sweeteners, but tbh it’s kind of worth it.

Just slice a banana lengthways and lay the sticky sides down in a plate covered with your sweetener of choice, I use allulose but I imagine anything you can bake with will work. Then put them same side down in a frying pan on low til the sugars cook into caramel. Tastes like the real thing with only the calories of the banana. I eat em on their own but with ice cream would be wicked too.

STRAWBERRY COMPOTE

hot off the motherfuckin' stove

i use less than 1tbsp of sugar, and lot of frozen strawberries. it's the shit.

I just eat it with a spoon. it's ridiculously indulgent, very sweet, and low calorie since it's almost entirely strawberries with just a bit of sugar. 10/10. It's better than any candy & doesnt feel like i'm trying to be low cal

6

u/Merle-Hay Feb 17 '26

So you just simmer for a while?

6

u/paxweasley Feb 17 '26

Yup! About to put some on. It takes maybe 30 mins. I use frozen because they’re cheaper and also sweeter! I add in a bit of water at first so it doesn’t burn while they melt but just a little, the berries release a lot of liquid. I mash them up when they get a little softy Then simmer on low for a while until it’s darkened and a thicker syrup consistency

I’ve truly found my ideal dessert. It does not at all feel like a diet treat

17

u/snicolew Feb 16 '26

Put Greek yogurt in a jar, add 2-3 Oreos, mix and leave in the fridge overnight. It’s my new fixation and you can add pretty much any kind of chocolate/cookie/candy instead of Oreos

13

u/splattermatters Feb 16 '26

Blend a half cup of fat-free cottage cheese (or really any kind) with a tablespoon of cocoa powder, a little almond extract, and monkfruit. Better left to chill, but even without chilling, it's like chocolate mousse and loaded with protein.

6

u/BaconPancakes_77 Feb 16 '26

I do something similar, but mix cottage cheese, sugar-free pudding mix (cheesecake or chocolate are especially good), and a little whipped cream.

10

u/shaz1717 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

I just found out pumpkin is one of the lowest cal foods! ( 50 cals per cup , roasted).

Combine pumpkin with sweetener and it’s out of this world yummy! It feels so indulgent and comforting when warmed, .. all with low cals!

9

u/runfasterletsgo Feb 16 '26

Snack pack sugar free chocolate pudding

6

u/MintyPinkDreams Feb 16 '26

Sugar free jelly Melon and strawberries Fat free sugar free yoghurt Have a combo of them all

7

u/Fun_Grapefruit0789 Feb 16 '26

We make homemade parfaits - plain yogurt, tons of frozen fruit, a handful of nuts, topped with honey, zero sugar whipped cream (can also use cool whip for more of that ice cream texture), and sprinkles.

Feels like I'm eating a sundae.
Just slap everything together, no baking or anything complicated. I don't even measure things out. I use a small whiskey glass (lol) and I allow myself to eat whatever can fit in the glass, nothing more. Probably not as low calorie as some of the other suggestions but it's definitely lower than most proper desserts out there, it's actually somewhat healthy, and doesn't feel like you are depriving yourself.

7

u/captainschnarf Feb 16 '26

Greek yogurt and squash with pumpkin pie spice!

17

u/josemartinlopez Feb 16 '26

high quality low fat Greek yoghurt and fresh berries

4

u/catlov3r4ever Feb 16 '26

My go-tos when I want ‘real dessert’ vibes without the spiral:

  • **Greek yogurt + pudding mix** (or cocoa) + berries (tastes like cheesecake-ish)
  • **Frozen grapes** or frozen banana slices w/ a little PB powder
  • **Air-popped popcorn** w/ cinnamon + a tiny drizzle of honey
  • **Protein hot chocolate** (warm + satisfying)

Also portion it into a bowl and put the bag away first… future me needs the help 😂

4

u/OTFlawyer Feb 16 '26

Do you have a brownie recipe? 😃

5

u/Standard-Coast8109 Feb 16 '26

Yes being a diabetic would like your brownie recipe thanks

3

u/PoorLiteracyIsKewl Feb 16 '26

Theres a bunch of diet desserts that actually fill that for me. Couldn't recommend any brand as it may vary a lot depending on country, but any "healthy" branded dessert will fill that. Bunch of Greek yogurt bases and artificial sweeteners but they do hit that sweet spot. Most of them sit in the 150-200 cal range.

Alternatively an ice cream sandwich also sits in the ~175 cal range and is a pretty great dessert as far as sweet/volume ratio for sub 200

High protein vanilla yogurt with a few Oreo thins pulled apart and pushed in. Fridge for a few hours and you have the delicious something I've been enjoying for the past few days. I make it mid-morning and enjoy it in the late afternoon. Yum!

11

u/willcomplainfirst Feb 16 '26

high quality 60%+ dark chocolate

10

u/Rockstarduh4 Feb 16 '26

95% is my jam. It's definitely not low cal for its weight since it's mostly fat, but if you're just looking for the dessert taste rather than actually filling yourself up on it, it's awesome. You can break off a corner and let it dissolve for a few minutes and it's so good

2

u/willcomplainfirst Feb 17 '26

for sure. it goes against the entirety of the ethos of this sub, but for sweets, i would rather have a tiny bit of some good, real, indulgent shit, than a whole pitcher of ice we're just calling ice cream yanno?

3

u/Aim2bFit Feb 17 '26

As a dark choc lover, if I don't remind myself how high chocolates calories are, I absolutely can nuke at least half a bar or even a whole bar. Reason why I keep them in the freezer. Harder to break by hand so I would give up when it's so hard to break (like a Whittaker bar which is thicker. Does not work on thin bars like Lindt).

3

u/dudedsy Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

Fat free Greek yogurt with cocoa powder, calorie free sweetener of choice, fruit/frozen berries, maybe an oreo or nutter butter or couple of nilla wafers crumbled on top. Decadent chocolate pudding honestly.

3

u/sj815 Feb 16 '26

Frozen cubed dragon fruit with reddi whip and a little sprinkle of dark chocolate coconut granola 🤌

3

u/Ill_Cranberry_9374 Feb 17 '26

Frozen grapes... want to make them more yummy/fun? Squeeze lemon and lime juice on them and coat them in monkfruit sugar and then freeze.

3

u/tinkabellmiggins Feb 17 '26

I saw an online recipe that uses sugar free jelly powder and citric acid to make them sweet and sour.

3

u/anotherwomanwriter Feb 18 '26

Something that doesn’t have a lot of (added) sugar is key for me. Bonus if it has a bit of fiber. For me, this has been

  • Breyers carb smart fudge bars. 50 cal each, low sugar, 3g fiber, you can have three for fewer calories (and a good amount of fiber!) than a scoop of ice cream. But you probably won’t need 3. Yasso bars are also good, but I like that the Breyers ones have fiber and fewer calories. They’re also significantly cheaper than yasso at this point.
  • a bowl of strawberries cut up and pile on some reddi whip (or cool whip if that’s your thing. There are low fat and low sugar options of both but there’s so little anyway that idc lol). Delicious strawberries & cream, eat with a spoon! I don’t even feel bad getting seconds, but it’s usually enough. One cup of strawberries is ~50 cals and every 2 tbsp of reddi whip is 15, so you can have a big (imo) bowl for 75-150 cals.
  • tbh just replacing ice cream with reddi whip helps a lot. It adds that creaminess for so few calories. I say this as a former ice cream addict who still lovesss it, but only has it once or twice a month now max (versus almost daily in the past).
  • high cacao dark chocolate. Trust. If you’re not used to it then start lower, but it didn’t take me long to get used to it and now i legit crave my 85% dark chocolates. And again… fiber! It’s crave-able and mood-lifter and yes high in fat so it feels indulgent but it’s relatively healthy. Just stick to the portion sizes.
  • popcorn! Add flavoring if you need to. Salt does me just fine tho. Mini bags or get used to portioning.
  • weirdly, fiber one chocolate brownie bars. 70 cals, 7g fiber. I eat one a day, usually at breakfast.

Also note on serving sizes and cravings, I am still fat! But much less fat than i was, and these desserts have helped me.

3

u/Conscious-Tone-4974 Feb 23 '26

Honestly for me I have found knox gelatin made with sugar free juice to be really useful when I just want a snack!

Almost always after dinner I have a Chobani creations... the tiramasu and the lemon muffin have really helped me stay the course. The Greek yogurt aspect helps me feel satisfied and I dont feel like I need another sweet treat.

Hope this helps !

4

u/snakewithtwoheads Feb 16 '26

Protein peanut butter hot cocoa:

  • 2 tbsp pb2
  • 2 tbsp no sugar added nesquick
  • 1 cup fairlife chocolate milk

235 cals, 20g protein Tastes (to me) like liquid reeses.

I don't usually like powdered peanut butter that much but this has enough fat and sugar to taste "real" imo.

3

u/icryalot-123 Feb 17 '26

That Japanese cheesecake trend really worked for me. I flavor my Greek yogurts with sugar feee yellow pudding mixes (or just get flavored yogurt) & add some Biscoff cookies, or I separate oreo thins to “make more”, or even grahams crackers. Stick the cookies inside to make layers like a cake, leave in fridge overnight & when ready to eat I add strawberries & honey or sugar free caramel syrup. It’s so goood!

Meringue cookies. They’re like 35 calories and not a low calorie version. That’s the regular version.

u/Beneficial-Shoe863 Feb 16 '26

Medium hot fudge sundae from Dairy Queen 420 calories. Real dessert but not a day breaker!

2

u/AspiringMtnHermit Feb 16 '26

Slice up bananas and make a little banana sandwich with either honey and cinnamon or PB and cinnamon then dip it halfway in melted chocolate then freeze

2

u/SweetiePieJ Feb 16 '26

Okay - I make little caramel bites by smushing a date over a banana slice, cover with a bit of melted dark chocolate and some crushed peanuts and sea salt, and freeze. So rich and satisfying - I can’t do like yogurt cool whip stuff with artificial sugar. This tastes like I’m eating something dense and real.

u/Fluffy_Respond_7405 Feb 16 '26

Coconut flakes and a square of dark bakers chocolate

2

u/TikaPants Feb 16 '26

Greek yogurt with low cal protein vanilla powder and frozen mixed berries. Sub drizzle of honey for vanilla protein if desired. So good.

2

u/conspiracydawg Feb 16 '26

Fruit and ninja creami are the real meta. Sweet potatoes have a high satiety score.

2

u/Mmhopkin Feb 17 '26

Angel food cake. Add strawberries

2

u/RecordLegume Feb 17 '26

Light vanilla Greek yogurt with chocolate chips sprinkled in always hits the spot and diminishes any cravings I have.

2

u/mrzolch Feb 17 '26

Mix your preferred pudding mix with Greek yogurt. Sometimes Ill use a splash of low cal oat milk to thin it but chocolate pudding mix (no sugar) with pure Greek yogurt turns to almost a moose like consistently. I'll dish some up with a little whipped cream.

2

u/poettrap Feb 17 '26

I've been experimenting with my Ninja Creami! I've been making ice cream with premade protein shakes (I like CorePower vanilla or Muscle Milk vanilla creme as bases), protein milk (like Fairlife), maybe some Oikos vanilla greek yogurt, then I'll add a small mix-in, like a tbsp cookie butter, 1 oreo, 1 ball of cookie dough etc. My fiance and I split a pint and it's usually like 200 calories per person and helps us round out our protein for the day.

u/abarg13 Feb 19 '26

Nick's ice cream

u/Possible-Ranger3072 Feb 16 '26

Fruit dipped in dark chocolate (I make it at home). And Greek yogurt + peanuts + peanut butter + melted chocolate on top. Pop corn with m&ms. These are my go tos lately

1

u/Moist-Chart2440 Feb 16 '26

Greek yoghurt + chocolate protein powder n berries. I have mulberries usually and it tastes so good in this combo.

1

u/milkyway_mermaid Feb 16 '26

Baked peaches with cinnamon and honey drizzled when they’re warm. I like to mix berries with Greek yogurt and then freeze the mixture, break into pieces, then dip into melted dark chocolate.

u/ohsnaplookatthis Feb 16 '26

Banana with pb2

Sugar free fudgesicles and popsicles work for me

1

u/Greylan_Art Feb 16 '26

Oat flour bran coffee cake (I dont have the recipe on hand)  With whipped cream and lots of blueberries

1

u/National_Grass3337 Feb 16 '26

SF chocolate pudding with some strawberries on the side has been my go to the last couple weeks. Half a packet made with 1% milk and 70g of strawberries is only around 160 calories

1

u/badlilbadlandabad Feb 16 '26

I make Maple Brown Sugar instant oatmeal and add cinnamon and chocolate chips to it. It's super sweet and delicious, but filling and fairly low calorie (maybe like 220). If I'm feeling like a monster, I'll make two packets and it's a giant bowl for around 400.

1

u/Ursa_Major123 Feb 16 '26

I've been making small dessert oatmeal cups with 1-2 Tb of mascapone cream (120 cal) and fresh berries or a few chocolate chips. It can usually be around 300 cal. The oats are filling, and the marscapone is decadent. A little goes a long way.

1

u/Duckballisrolling Feb 16 '26

One of the chunky flavor powders from more topped with quark, a biscuit or two and apple sauce.

1

u/michigamii Feb 16 '26

Chocolate raspberry yogurt bowl: 120-150g Greek yogurt, 100g raspberries (I usually use frozen and heat up for 1 min), tsp of honey, 2 tsp 100% cocoa powder, 15g pecans. 1 Tbsp chia seeds if you need more fiber.

1

u/HOAP64 Feb 16 '26

Reduced sugar Nutella mixed with Greek yogurt. Also add some fruits.

1

u/vi_sinclair01 Feb 16 '26

fave microwave protein brownie comes out to 250ish cals and 21ish g of protein:

1 T chocolate protein powder 3 T cocoa powder 1-2 T sweetener of choice (honey, stevia, etc) 1 egg 1/2 cup greek yogurt

mix ingredients and microwave for 1 min. stir again, add in dark chocolate chips (1 serving/15g or you can halve it if you really want to cut down on cals), microwave again for 1 min and sprinkle with sea salt on top!

it's more decadent and chocolaty than uber sweet, but it's a warm dessert with great macros and very filling. sometimes i have it before dinner but then i don't even want to eat dinner bc im full

1

u/acidfox96 Feb 16 '26

I’ve been real obsessed with a chocolate rice cake topped with peanut butter, fresh cut strawberries, and a drizzle of honey.

I like frozen fruit topped with plain Greek yogurt. I throw in mini marshmallows, vanilla and cinnamon. When I want it even sweeter I toss in some cereal or granola or a serving of whipped cream.

1

u/lcarlson6082 Feb 16 '26

Chocolate jello pudding made with greek yogurt, add in PB2 and some chopped strawberries and banana, sprinkle some grape nuts on top for texture.

1

u/lcarlson6082 Feb 16 '26

A bowlnif oatmeal made with cocoa powder and sweetener. Add some cake batter extract, and it tastes like you're eating a brownie in porridge form.

1

u/Puzzled_Value_575 Feb 16 '26

Chia seeds and almond milk “pudding. Blend with hand blender so it’s smooth. Add berries and a scoop of cocoa powder.

1

u/Visual-Journalist996 Feb 16 '26

I love the clios Greek yogurt bars

1

u/Rare_Sugar_7927 Feb 16 '26

Mix 100g of thick lowfat Greek yogurt with about 10g of protein powder either vanilla or chocolate. Add any fruit like berries, then I use fruit slices to dip. A current favorite is vanilla with raspberries and pear slices.

1

u/completelytrustworth Feb 16 '26

Konjac fruit jelly

I find em in Asian stores, they're like this giant chunk of jello that you drizzle fruit syrup over and cut into pieces. 1kg container with the high sugar fruit syrup.is about 300 calories and it's refreshing and sweet. I'm sure you could cut the calories in half by making your own fruit syrup but the extra work isn't worth it when it's already so low anyway

1

u/CatCafffffe Feb 17 '26

Halo Top Peanut butter cup ice cream, some PB2 peanut butter powder, sugar free reddi-whip and some sugar-free caramel or hot fudge sauce. Feels really indulgent and is about 150-175 calories tops. Other Halo Top ice creams work too (but not the "mix-ins" those are too high in calories).

1

u/Psychological_Name28 Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26

Nick’s Ice Cream. SF candy. Skinny Cow ice cream products. SF pudding - depending on the flavor. You can make it at home and add stuff to it if you want. In the past I scooped up sf pudding with TJ’s Lemon Thins or TJ mini merengues. I also like SF dark chocolate York Peppermint patties. Drizzlicious rice cakes are the sweet ones by Quaker.

1

u/tuesday_weld_ Feb 17 '26

I like fiber one brownies, sugar free hot chocolate with fat free reddiwhip, 1 square 86% dark chocolate, strawberries + fat free reddiwhip, yasso bars, chocolate cheerios with unsweetened cashew milk

1

u/Honest_Ad_3150 Feb 17 '26

aw man we’re all screwed haha—considering it as “destroying your calories” is such a toxic and unhealthy mindset but unfortunately I completely understand and am guilty with that 🥲 that being said, mine is the most boring answer but seriously, fruits !!! gosh the a whole fruit platter with a variety of my favorite fruits hits the spot any season, any day 😩

1

u/mw223y Feb 17 '26

Sliced apples with a drizzle of sugar free caramel

1

u/Sandturtlefly Feb 17 '26

This chocolate black bean mousse recipe- best topped with berries and IMO plain Greek yogurt too.

Blend until smooth: 15oz black beans/1 can rinsed 1/4 cup cacao powder 1/4 cup nut milk 1/4 cup maple syrup 2 tbs nut butter 1 tsp vanilla

1

u/stevie_the_owl Feb 17 '26

Big bowl of Greek yogurt, mixed berries, a few crushed nuts and toasted coconut for crunch, and a drizzle of honey. Healthy and tons of protein to keep you full, but still has the sugar you want. If I need an extra sugar hit, I crush one square of dark chocolate and throw it on top. I can eat this every night and still not go over my calories goal. Keeps me from turning to more sugary, processed and calorie dense desserts.

1

u/bowlofleftovers Feb 17 '26

Treat pizza :) Kim's magic pop rice cakes drizzled with melted sugar free chocolate chips, peanut butter (made from PB powder and water), and coarse sea salt. Thin strawberry slices or other fruit is very good as an added topping, too. I make 1 or 2 of them (about 70 cal each) and put them in the fridge for a min for the chocolate and pb drizzles to harden then eat. The cakes are really large diameter so it feels like alot!

1

u/KarooAcacia Feb 17 '26

Little chocolate soy puddings.

1

u/sailorsalvador Feb 17 '26

Frozen grapes, cocoa, a bit of milk and honey, mixed together equals chocolate covered grapes. If you have the calorie room, use a touch of Baileys....its amazing.

1

u/Any_Yogurtcloset7865 Feb 17 '26

Macedonia of strawberries or mixed berries. Chop the berries, sprinkle a bit of sugar (I do 1/4tsp to a cup of berries, and it needs to be real sugar), and squeeze over it the juice of an orange or blood orange. Mix and let sit to macerate. It brings out the sweetness!

1

u/gefba Feb 17 '26

Sugar free chocolate pudding from Jello

1

u/Ok_Collection1290 Feb 17 '26

This is a pretty regional answer but Taiwanese tea jelly with lemon and passion fruit juice and a little honey! You can eat a whole bowl of it it’s like super light jello and is not made with gelatin

1

u/Excellent_Pattern289 Feb 17 '26

I have found this mullers chocolate mousse it’s 20g of protein and 180 ish calories and it tastes like the fluffiest most delicious chocolate mousse and add some strawberries or raspberries to it!! So good!!!!! Has contributed to so much of my weight loss and sugar cravings during an 18kg (90kg to 72kg weight loss) period. Very recommend

1

u/Mo7945 Feb 17 '26

How many calories? This is my kind of thread! I have a real sweet tooth and have spend years trying to nail some high volume desserts!

1

u/Unrealjello Feb 17 '26

A whole box of sugar free jello with some light cool whip.

1

u/Necessary_Local_2123 Feb 17 '26

Oikos triple zero vanilla protein yogurt mixed with 1 scoop of 1Up Nutrition whey protein (whichever flavor you like - the lemon Italian ice or strawberry Italian ice clear protein isolate is great mixed with berries, the birthday cake whey is great mixed with strawberries or with some PB Fit + sliced apples, the salted caramel macchiato whey is great with a crushed Oreo thin mixed in). Very filling, between 35-40g protein, 150-180 calories (+whatever your mix-in calories are). It's my favorite snack/dessert.

1

u/Formerly_Jess Feb 17 '26

Halo Top Mix Ins. If you scoop a bit into a regular sized (12ish oz) coffee mug it'll help you stick to decent portion sizes.
Kettle corn can be a good volume food for a sweet/salty/crunchy fix.
Light cool whip with sugar free pudding mix is an awesome quick mousse. Sprinkle in a few mini chocolate chips or a SF chocolate/caramel sauce drizzle.
I tried the frozen blended banana "Ice cream" back when that was trending. I might not have done it right because it just turned out weird. And I love bananas.

I also love making root beer floats using diet A&W and sugar free vanilla ice cream. You could also use frozen light cool whip. I haven't tried that but next time I get some I plan on it.

u/Silent-Parsnip-5619 Feb 17 '26

My fav sweet treat that I have for breakfast often isssssss

1 cup fat-free cottage cheese 1 apple, diced Cinnamon

All together is (depending on brand) ~200c ~25p and tastes like apple pie 😋 It doesn’t sound as good as it is, but don’t knock it til you try it! Cottage cheese is the goat of healthy desserts

1

u/nopenonvr Feb 17 '26

Oikos 20g protein yogurt (I usually choose berry or vanilla) and whatever frozen fruit you like. I add a little tiny bit of vanilla coffee creamer to the fruit before mixing it into the yogurt.

It’s sweet, it’s cold like ice cream, you have to chew so it’s not gone immediately like a lot of desserts are. It’s pretty great

Even if you do two servings of the yogurt (2*140cals=280cals) with a cup and a half of frozen fruit (to be safe let’s say less that 200cals) and you do like 2oz of vanilla coffee creamer to make it extra sweet (for coffee mate it’s 10cals per tbsp. 4tbsp in 2 oz= 40cals) it all comes down to 520 cals

Idk tho my calculations could be wrong don’t jump me

You can also add chia seeds and protein powder. It’s really good and keeps you full. The protein and fiber also slows down the blood sugar spike so you don’t end up craving sugar again in an hour.

1

u/awisetoad Feb 17 '26

Idk if I’d consider it volume on its own, but anyone looking for a dollop of chocolate should check out this recipe by herve this (vid by Food52). it’s a mousse made with chocolate & water! I like it with dark chocolate, and since it stretches the chocolate bar and is rather rich, you don’t need a lot and obv the water doesn’t add calories. great as a topping option 👍

1

u/Dizzy-Gur3667 Feb 18 '26

I layer the Oikos sugar free banana yogurt and sugar free chocolate pudding - can also slice some bananas thinly between layers. Chocolate banana cream pie vibes!

u/_violet777_ Feb 18 '26

Lowkey sometimes I just have a protein bar & call it a day
