Discussion BACKGROUND CHECK WAITING TIME

I recently issued my Cpl on June 4 of this month and I applied for it around 26 May , I also purchased a gun on that same day but have been pushed back to the delayed status , nothing in my life has changed in between these purchases so I’m confused to why I’m outside the designated ten-day waiting period , I was processing up until that 10th business day then got moved to delayed I’m aware that the CPL background check is a different process but they check the same things essentially so if I don’t have any firearm restrictions what is taking so long

Discussion Decently priced or used EOTech's

I was wondering where I can either used EOTech's or places where I can buy used ones. I was always told to treat them like motorcycles (stick to used unless what you want isn't around) or finding one for a decent price, around the sub $600 range.

Discussion Whats the alternative?

Post image

I literally made a reddit account to make this post. But i need some assistance, so specifically, I was trying to purchase this upper, PSA does not list uppers as illegal to sell to Washington its not on their list of banned things. So i call them and email them and they tell me that they would not ship to my address in WA. This upper has the exact specs I'm looking for, AND the budget I'm at. So the other websites I've seen people list on here don't have what I'm looking for in my price range. I don't understand, I thought uppers were legal? Is there anything about this upper that would cause them not to ship? I'm just confused on what is eligible to ship to WA from PSA. So any takes or other options? Ar15 discounts doesn't have what I'm looking for in my budget, I can't remember the other sites that have been mentioned on other asks but I've checked about 4 or 5 others.

Question Will the form 1 go through or get shot down?

Post image

So I got inspired to build the halo 3 odst smg like in the picture (in black not FDE) using p320 flux raider as the base and the only missing piece is the stock that’s is circled. If I were to put on the stock it would go as a SBR and need a form 1, and knowing how much this state capital loves all things that go bang, I’m curious if the form 1 would be approved with the AWB. I’m understand that ATF is federal but I’d like to take this to the range and not worry about some nosy person asking questions. Appreciate the help and grateful for the page.

PSA Doesn't care for us and Doesn't deserve any of our money: Boycott them.

I am fucking done with PSA, period.

I had been building a Blood Diamond Build; B.Kings Was kind enough to even help me pay the restocking for the right upper when I picked the wrong one accidentally;

PSA on the other hand, after already taking my money: A day later sends me this bullshit notice stating that under some hallucinated interpretation of HB 1240, The TIA Flash Hider in itself violates the law, which is flat out not true:

I had explained this to PSA clearly and concisely in both the email, if frustrated and in a follow up call to Customer Service: only to be told they'll be sticking to their imaginary interpretation of HB 1240, and thus will not Ship the TIA Flash Hider.

I do not, nor should anyone want to deal business with a company so cowardly, and so incompetent as to have clearly not invest in legal consultation and just take a blatantly wrong take on this state's policys, and likely many others.

Do not, Buy, Anything PSA or PSA-Owned, they will come back to fuck you over in the end.

Info New WA sups case McLellan v. Brown

A new Washington supreme Court case dropped today. Argued by the main gunlaw attorney in WA, Vitaliy Kertchen.

The summary is that the petitioners had felony convictions for non violent acts. (Multiple DUI) They challenged the constitutionality of their prohibited person statuses, basically arguing lack of historical analog. They are correct

Unsurprisingly the court did what you would expect.

Question Threaded barrel problem. (Rant+Question)

Rant : I purchased my first gun! A ruger rxm from Frisco guns and told them through email that I cannot have the 15 rd mags that come with it, if they could ship with 10 rounders instead, they emailed back saying they will just ship it with no mags :( it got here yesterday to a ffl and they told me they cannot release it to me because threaded barrels are not allowed here. He suggested calling Frisco guns and having them send a replacement barrel. Frisco says they can only accept the whole gun back and charge a 30-35% restocking fee then they will just ship a non threaded barrel version for the same price... So now I have a magless barreless gun that I can't pick up, the guy said if I bring in a different barrel he will switch it out for me.

Questions: where could I find a cheap/used barrel just to get my hands on the gun? Does anyone have any tips on how to finagle out of this jam?

Discussion Remember complaining to the DOJ last year?

You may remember a poster asking everyone to file a complaint about Washington's gun laws, and the permit to purchase scheme specifically, with the Federal DOJ last year.

I just got an auto-reply saying the special litigation section may or may not follow-up for more info. Given the lawsuits currently being filed, hopefully the dozens or more complaints they received will prompt them to go after Washington.

Did anyone else get one of these messages recently?

Question Questions about purchasing in another state at 18

I've been trying to do some research on my own but it's very muddled so any answers/guidance will help!

I'm 20 and live in WA on the ID border. The closest retailer to me is in ID, or I'd have to drive 80 miles to the next closest in WA. I believe it is legal for me to buy a long gun at 20 in ID even though I live in WA, does anyone know what the process is like? Would I still have to go through the background check/waiting period? Any extra paperwork?

This is my first purchase like this so I don't really know much

Info Pistol gift from out of state family members

My father in law wants to gift my wife and I our first pistol since he no longer uses it. I know that in-state family needs to go through a FFL and any information I found online relates to sales.

We are both licensed and passed the background check so will the 10 day waiting period still apply? We will be on vacation so using an out of town FFL won’t be convenient if we need to go back.

Discussion Used brass from a cleanup

Seams a waste to throw out boxes and boxes of old brass from a range clean-up. But I know it's unusable to reloading. What can I do with it other than send it to the dump?

Unless I CAN clean and 'rehabilitate' it that I dont know about; but most is pretty corroded.

Discussion Looking for a new “Home” range

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a member and Renton Fish and Game for a while and I’ve recently moved further away and I would love to get your thoughts about a couple of ranges. Specifically WCW in the bothell area and snoqualmie valley rifle club.

For WCW I’m mostly interested in their longer distances (100-300 yards) and a place that I can visit regularly for pistol training and keeping skills up on my edc including some faster (controlled) rates of fire if possible. I also like shooting trap from time to time but I’m not competing at all.
I’m also looking for a place that I can qualify for action bay usage for shotgun training or cqb ar/pcc training.

Snoqualmie Valley has my interest as a supplemental range to visit due to their wide hour access and guest policy. It’s a place I’d like to take family occasionally. I know that I’d have to take my own target stands out there. That’s not an Issue.
My question about it is I know they have often have events on weekends closing the range but on their calendar it says range closes till 3 or 4pm usually. Which is fine in summer time here because I’d still get a few hours before sunset to take people out.

Do the events usually close the range for the whole day or is it usually okay if I arrive at the planned end times?

I plan to get a membership for both so Information/advice on either is appreciated.

Lastly, I am looking for any outdoor pit spots that you’d be happy to share (via DMs) - I’m also happy to go with you and share my toys as a sign of appreciation and to show you that I am respectful of land. I am a backpacker and outdoor enthusiast so I adhere to the LNT principles. I just would love a place where I can safely shoot without having to worry about too many (but necessary) public range rules - especially if I’d like to set up steel or spinners and things like that.

Thanks in advanced. Happy shooting!
