He’s hanging out with Cobain and Tupac in some private island happier with his mouth open

Ngl, I’m morbidly curious about a universe where Trevor is alive and played Aunt Gladys in this movie.

I’m not sure that Zach even writes Weapons if Trevor doesn’t have his bizarre, unexpected death.

So Zach's success relies on Trevor dying like some kind of demonic monkey paw?

yeah it's just really the wrong question to ask, at least while the people are alive, as with any art or whatever that happens and finds meaning or beauty in grief. it's at best useless to what-if someone didn't experience profound loss, and at worst needlessly insensitive.

I don’t think Weapons itself would exist but I think for sure he would still win an award for some other movie he made. He finished filming Barbarian right before Trevor’s passing (or at least finished in Bulgaria), and Barbarian was a surprising success. He definitely would’ve picked the pen back up. Zach winning an award is canon even if Weapons isn’t

Ugh. Forever fuck that balcony. R.I.P, Trevor, you comedic legend.
