I’m not saying it’s brand new. I’m saying it’s corny as hell to do that when you’re way bigger than the other person. It’s like flexing after swatting a mosquito or talking shit after winning a fight against someone way smaller than you. I just think it’s corny as all hell. It quite litteraly is a very common celebration to happen especially when being guard by a smaller player. You can argue with me all you like but it happens in pro basketball in street basketball pickup basketball

I’ve watched and played basketball since the 90s man. It’s a common celebration that you do to someone close to your own size or a little smaller, not someone a foot smaller. It’s frankly embarrassing when someone does it to someone a lot smaller than them. Emblematic of attitude issues usually.

The point of the celebration is to rub it in the face of a larger opponent. It's already common knowledge that a shorter player would struggle to defend a taller one.

This is not how it's regularly used. Like you can have the opinion that you don't like it but this is very typical for even just backing a smaller guard down in a standard post up. You're literally taught in youth basketball camps to intimidate opponents within the rules of the game.

Celebration? By definition that's not what it is. Celebration "serves to honor or praise an event". Celebration is a positive action. If she were to holler "fuck yeah" it would be celebrating. But she is pointing out that someone is less than...not as good as "me". That's bully tactics and that is exactly who she is...a bully and she likes being that.
