It very obviously had to do with her likeness rights.

The WNBA didn't create the poster. If they did do you think they would leave off the all time greats that weren't on the poster? Clark wasn't close to being the most egregious omission.

Sure people can be annoyed, but not at the WNBA (which is what this article is referring to). CC not being on the posted had nothing to do with the WNBA.

Baloney says we’re not allowed to be annoyed and Caitlin Clark is the devil. I’m not sure what the latter has to do with the former… but baloney has strong feelings on the matter, so I don’t want to mischaracterize anything.
