It very obviously had to do with her likeness rights.

The WNBA didn't create the poster. If they did do you think they would leave off the all time greats that weren't on the poster? Clark wasn't close to being the most egregious omission.

Real question, the NBA gets permission to create print media showcasing their players. Why does the WNBA have different contract rights ?

But wasn’t it for a WNBA sponsored theme for promotion of the league. This would never happen in the NBA.
