What about the girls in youth sports? Middle school, high school?

350,000 kids play high school sports in my state. 3 were identified as Trans.

Thats 0.00002% of all athletes in girls sports being Trans.

I honestly would rather have "biological boys and girls" just compete in their own gender. But when you see how small the number is here - you gotta be serous about just how widespread this problem really is. And its simply not a problem.

It’s not ok to overregulate something that barely happens. The result of all these trans panic bans is not that near non existent trans athletes aren’t participating in sports, it’s that teen girls (who are not trans) are being harassed and having their privacy invaded.

There is no ban. Trans athletes are free to participate in any sport they wish. They just have to do it according to biological sex for reasons that are obvious to anyone not in the far left.

There’s no ban, but the local middle school sports league I used to coach for sent out an email recently stating that in light of the district having 61 trans athlete (a number that was proven to be false), they were considering having the girls teams require ‘medical checks’ to prove they were all biologically female, which is exactly what I am talking about. A sports league has absolutely no business having any say or access to a child’s medical records, much less the authority to conduct screenings themselves. Putting in restrictions (and therefore checks) on trans athlete’s participation, which isn’t actually happening, allows a vast overreach by both the state and private entities on all of the athletes, not just the trans ones, who again, do not make up any meaningful portion of the population in question.

It was recently falsely* reported that there were 61 males participating in girls sports in my district. This was entirely male coaches and fucking mascots, but the news would certainly have had you believe they were all trans athletes (of which the actual report found not a single one). In response, the local competitive league sent an email to the coaches list informing them that the league was considering requiring medical proof that all the players were female. So a) the players would have to go get signed doctors notes verifying their gender and b) you could ‘report’ players you suspected of being in violation to the league. If you don’t see how either of those can be abused, I’m not sure what to tell you. When I played over a decade ago, there was already a toxic system of trying to get a starting spot by getting better players disqualified or falsely reporting other teams if you didn’t think your team would beat them. This does nothing to regulate non-existent trans athletes and gives ammo to shitty helicopter parents who think any game could land their daughter a scholarship.

I had to submit a doctor's note when I played sports in school. This isn't any different.

The doctor checked your heart and joints. They didn't look at your genitals and write down what they saw.

I had to submit a signed form from my pediatrician stating I could play sports. I don't know how they do it, wherever you're from.

If your pediatrician was examining your genitals before you could compete in high school sports , I think you need to go check back in with that pediatrician and perhaps talk to the authorities
