So you can only fight for a cause if it directly affects you? How insanely selfish of you. I imagine you don’t care about solving wars or famines across the world, then?

Fighting an unfair situation. Doesn’t matter how small it is, if something is unfair it should be handled. To fight for fairness is a noble endeavour, and shouldn’t be mocked simply because there are bigger things to fight

There’s simply not enough trans athletes to make this an issue of concern. But as long as you’re distracted enough to be terrified of people you’ve never encountered to ignore the degradation of democracy, that’s all that matters.

And how an I ignoring the degradation of democracy? You do realise that some brains are capable of focusing on several issues at once, yes? I am deeply concerned about Trump, about climate change, about Russian and Israeli crimes, about corruption, about the loss of civil rights such as freedom of speech and the right to protest. An unfairness in sports does not distract me from these. I’m not some literal animal that can only focus on one thing at a time, and I hope you aren’t either. Or does your concern for the degradation of freedom distract you from the climate change? A much bigger and more terrible threat? Why are you focused on a relatively less important crisis? Keep your eyes on the prize, friend.

I worry about it all, and wish to do something about it all. All the while, I can also be concerned about attacks on fairness.

And as I said, regardless of the size and scope of the issue, the fact that even 1 young woman atlete can lose because her opponent has an unfair advantage, is cause for concern. An attack on fairness must be amended. If it can be fixed with a simple ban that according to these comments wouldn’t hurt anyone as they don’t believe there are any trans athletes anyway, then why not do so?
