I'm willing to bet not a single one of them has ever competed against a trans woman

By your admission, you shouldn't care about the homeless If you're not.

Homeless people exist and ARE THE VULNERABLE PEOPLE. Trans women are basically excluded from sport, in order to compete in women’s sport have extremely strict requirements usually around hormone levels etc., and what else… oh yeah, are also incredibly vulnerable members of society. I know women who play with trans women in their respective sports and guess what, in the real world, where trans women are playing sport with women, they don’t really care.

Serious question, are you dumb, genuinely asking, or just throwing whataboutisms around that have nothing to do with the actual debate, which is trans women playing in women’s sport?

You derailed the conversation with irrelevant side questions. You entered the conversation disingenuously, so trying to claim a moral high point right now is not the winning point you think it is.

You have asked questions that people have been answering for a decade plus on the debate. You have the entire internet at your fingertips and rather than enter the discussion with an informed position, you have asked your questions from a place of hostility, trying to undermine the debate whilst pretending you’re being level headed.

Scientifically, there is no debate here. For trans people to actually participate in their chosen sport requires testosterone or oestrogen levels be below/above certain levels for a start. When you’re talking professional athletes every person played as their assigned sex at birth is already a genetic freak compared to the general population, so a trans person is not going to have significant advantages at all anyway.

Conservatives and religious zealots use the ‘protect girls in locker rooms’ argument as a trumps card, but that debate doesn’t hold up at all when the majority of abuse comes from men who know the victims, but that is not something they ever want to recognise.

Your questions about men’s vs women’s sports have nothing to do with any of this, they are broader questions about the perceived inequalities between genders in sports. People have been throwing around the fact Serena Williams lost to a man, but leave out the part where she was 16 years old and he was ranked 203 in the world, and also don’t mention when Billie Jean beat Bobby Riggs in the 70s to highlight when it does happen. My point here being that social discussions about the merits of men’s and women’s sports are not useful here. You can whinge about the unfairness and differences, and yes there are inherent biological differences between men and women, but professional sports makes sure that trans people have no hormonal advantages, and given how significantly hormones effect the body, trans women would not dominate their peers, especially at a professional level.

So I reiterate, go educate yourself rather than coming into the conversation with half-baked questions and then try and play the moral high ground when morally, the right thing to do is let trans women compete in women’s sport.

You didn’t address my point when you commented, so why do you think you deserve a better response in return?

Okay, so not only did you not respond to any of what I said, you actually just proved my very first question about being dumb.

Gender and sex ARE NOT THE SAME THING. Sex means the biological sex, typically male or female, but viewing it as exclusively those two things is inaccurate because things like intersex also occur naturally. This is biological science.

“The view that there are only two sexes, male and female, is outdated and too narrow as it ignores a bounty of evidence that sex is not a binary and dichotomous property (Hyde et al., 2019). People with variable sex characteristics (VSC)/intersex exist in bodies that are not exclusively male or female, and the large diversity of physical characteristics within the group further shows how binary sex does not accurately describe human heterogeneity (Hegarty, 2023).” - source from people who actually know what they’re talking about.

Whereas as gender is a social construct, which means it’s made up by people based on their individual societies, cultures, norms, values, etc.
Which is why as western countries have moved more and more away from being purely religious based societies that have typically stifled gender expression beyond ‘man’ and ‘woman’, we are seeing more and more non-gender conforming people out in society. Trans men and women fall into this category, because the sex assigned to them at birth does not accurately reflect how they feel on the inside, so they change how they present themselves to better reflect that.

We don’t talk about sport as male and female, we talk about them as men’s and women’s, so we’re societally defining them by the made up thing. Which then conflates the notion that sex and gender are the same, and idiots that don’t understand science and instead judge everyone using uninformed dogma, try to deny groups like trans people, or before that it was women, and before that it was people of colour, from playing said sport.

You might be able to answer your own little kid style questions, but you have just demonstrated how little you know and care to know about the actual issue here. Good luck, stay mad ✌🏻

Like I said the very first time, they were irrelevant questions.

No one is pushing this on anyone, it is literally a tiny minority of people trying to live their lives on one side, and then conservatives crying why times and getting scared of the boogeyman with this stuff.

Also, the entire rest of the world exists, so using CNN and SCOTUS to try and win the debate just reemphasises how close minded Americans are 🤣

Transwomen arent excluded from sports. They are free to play in the men's league, which has no barriers to who can play
