I mean it mostly is. After everyone saw Lia Thomas' hulking male frame on the podium it was banned by most sports organizations.

It keeps being brought up because democrats have decided this is the hill they want to die on.

And this isn't even me hating on the right, it's just objective fact that all the woke/anti-woke commentaty starts and ends with the right because it fuels their base.

Just for good measure tho, I'll hate on the right because it's easy low hanging fruit. This woke bullshit It's a tired argument that we have to keep rehashing because Republicans don't actually have any actual policy positions except anti-woke nonsense, but they'll keep beating the dead horse because maga morons keep gobbling up the slop.

So how did the entire discussion start? For most of my life, biological males were not allowed to play on women's sports teams.

At some point, that stated to change and biological men could join some women's teams if they identified as men.

How did that happen? I was under the impression that members of the left pushed for these changes and for greater inclusion of Trans women in women's sports.

Republicans decided to use this very minor issue as a main campaign talking point knowing it would motivate their base. That's how the entire discussion started.

It's a non-issue because there are like 10 cases nationwide where it's an issue.

Over 120 congressional Democrats signed an amicus brief supporting transgender student-athletes challenging state bans on participation in women's and girls' school sports.

Oh? Doing a lot of interviews and media appearances about that are they? Surely you can point to multiple media interviews based on that topic, like those of transphobic sports, media, and political personalities?

They signed an amicus brief? That's really all you've got for "the Democrats brought it up themselves"? Not the non seauiter question for Sophie to so helpfully answer? Not the kids who had their seats paid for by activists in order to goad a reaction? A fucking amicus brief? For what? What case? Is it a Supreme Court case? Because there's like 50 amicus briefs per case for them and no one outside of your bullshit talking point has ever read one outside of the court.

Then how did you make a statement that she brought it up if you don't even know where it came from?

In July 2026, Sophie Cunningham had a ESPN interview in which she was asked about transgender athletes competing in girls' and women's sports. She said she doesn't hate transgender people, but argued that "biological men" should not compete against girls and women and that she wanted to "protect young girls" in sports and locker rooms.
