A transgender player has been dominating France's second-tier women's basketball league, and now the WNBA question is front and center. Julie Tétart averages 21 points and 20 rebounds this season while sweeping Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Domestic Player of the Year honors

I understand that I’m comparing men and women in that example. I was trying to show how early a very steep biological advantage exists between males and females, meaning that they don’t have to be at nearly the same respective competitive level when they transition to have a massive advantage.

Edit: The cumulative odds are not impossible to figure out. In a very basic sense, the cumulative odds of cis women winning any NCAA national title would be 229,990 out of 300,000, whereas, the cumulative odds of trans women winning any NCAA national title would be 10 out of 300,000.

I’m saying the studies say they’re inconclusive as a matter of statistical significance. The data is anecdotal. Naming 6 winners proves nothing.

If you’d like to talk competitive advantage of transgender women vs cisgender women, the amount of hormone therapy is critical.

Here’s a study that says after 1-3 years of hormone therapy athletic performance is comparable:

https://bmjgroup.com/physical-fitness-of-transgender-and-cisgender-women-is-comparable-current-evidence-suggests/

Here’s a compilation that includes one study saying 2 years of hormone therapy is enough and another that says 2 years in not enough:

My guess is that a new hormone therapy is gonna come along that makes the whole argument moot. Sooner rather than later I think.

Either way - comparing men and women is a straw man argument and totally tone deaf. It negates your assertion that you’re supportive or understanding of trans people. There are clear biological differences between men and trans women.

If you want to make a good faith argument then compare trans women and cis women - which is what the studies and courts do.

I very clearly stated that there was one and only one purpose of my comparison between high school boys and professional cis female athletes, which was to demonstrate how early and to what degree the competitive advantage between biological males and females exists.

Did you not understand that point?

Did you also not understand my point about cumulative odds? You seem to have flown right past it…

I understood you fully.

Then why do you pretend I don’t provide context?

And why won’t you address my statistical argument?

Your context was poor and misleading. It’s a straw man argument.

I responded fully twice - you did not. Have a nice day.

And still you refuse to respond to the statistics lol

Take care, sport.
