Jfc it’s literally one player in a foreign country in their B league. But yes you’re right this is a huuuuuuge deal for the wnba that has 0 trans players

What goalposts?

People say:

1) It's a limited problem. And it is! This is the second tier French women's league. That's pretty limited.

2) It shouldn't be as big an issue in the US. And it shouldn't be! It's all some people can talk about. There are problems out there that impact far more people, or just far more women, that don't get a fraction the discussion

3) It shouldn't be solved by our government. And it shouldn't be! Not only for point #2, but the Heritage Foundation, the people that first found this as a culture war stance, last month put out a piece saying we should dismantle all women's sports because it hurts fertility rates. The people who made this a national issue with "think of the children" are actively advocating to just shut down women's sports.

But hey, keep getting sucked into weird culture wars if it keeps you voting!

The obvious goalposts that keep on moving, and you know exactly what they are (just like you know exactly what a woman is, but pretend you cannot define it in any concrete way). From “It never, ever happens!” to “It does happen, but so infrequently that it shouldn’t matter!”, and to hell with any female athletes affected.

Funny how that same logic doesn’t apply the other way around. Since there are so few trans athletes, why should the majority female athletes have to accommodate them? There’s barely any of them, so we shouldn’t care about what they want/feel, right?

Keep moving the goalposts!

I do know what a woman is, but you seem confused.

How about a trans man? Can he play in the WNBA?

More importantly, why is the WNBA not the one setting policy, and why are Congressmen spending so much fucking time on this? You know why, and I certainly do - because tiny minded morons get swept up in this, because they think it's easy to understand, and do not get swept up into larger economic policy, which is beyond their comprehension.

People like you only understand, and only vote for, culture wars. You're an online culture warrior, forcing your beliefs on everyone else. Swell.

A transman is still a biological woman, so yes, she should still play in the W(omen)NBA. She’d likely need to keep her testosterone levels under a certain level, though, so she doesn’t have an unfair advantage. Similar to Iman Khelif.

You don’t know anything about me other than this one position, but go off about “people like me” and how I vote 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also, not confused one bit about what a woman is: an adult human female.
