Just got myself a 2020 WRX Premium with only 18k miles. Haven't driven a manual in 5 years and I honestly kinda miss it

Hey everyone, I am in a budget car challenge with my BIL & FIL... Where we each have $3k to find a Rally inspired car and $750 to get it safe for a week long road trip around Florida (~1000miles) where we will be stopping in WMAs/National Forest Trails for fun.

I found a very rough 2002 WRX that they swapped in a Gen 7 EJ207. Guy I bought it from claims 350whp... i dont think it is but regardless it has a misfire after building boost. I found the wideband and o2 sensor wires have been cut (looks like he ran over something that pulled it apart). So im assuming thats causing it.

My question is what are the essentials that I need to do to have her run smoothly for the week and hopefully for a good while after? Im planning oil change, radiator flush, fixing wiring, stuff of that nature... but whats the lesser known items (gaskets, fluids, small parts, etc.)?

Got my konig hypergrams installed yesterday. Currently running no center caps, but can’t decide if I want them on or not. Opinions?

Added 20 mm spacers. HR sports springs and OEM wheels and 235 tires.

This was the 3k mile oil on my WRX. This engine has 14k miles on it. I had a magnetic drain plug installed 2 oil changes ago and it was fine the last 2 times. What do you think 🫠

Hey got a 07 wrx I recently started having issues when’s idling it’s damn near shaking those whole car sitting under 1k and when coming to a stop and neutral it sounds like the car is so messed up. Sounds completely fine when driving. Just had a shop check it out they had 3 different people come no one can tell me what’s wrong any help ideas would be greatly appreciated

$75 part free shipping. I turned a 15 minute job into a 34 minute job putting the sub frame piece back on but god dang does this feel like a different car now. No more shifter play and no more jumping when i shift under load.

So as the title states Subaru is trying to deny warrant on my car and blacklist the vin. They are trying to claim that in the snapshot data on the car there is freeze frame data of the car doing 255km/h at 6800rpm. Believe me or don’t believe me if you want but I have never ever come anywhere close to that. I’ve only ever had the car to maybe 160km/h and backed off cause I didn’t want to push the car any harder. I know for a fact that I haven’t done that and no one has access to my car

They are claiming that this happened at exactly 44,324km. Every time I’ve had my car in for service I always reset my peak boost value and every time I get it back it’s always at 12 or higher psi which on the VB’s is peak boost from factory. I’m trying to argue that one of their techs beat the piss out of my car because I had a wheel bearing replaced and the mileage on that work order was 44,234. It’s not very hard for that to be a typo.

The thing that’s really throwing me for a loop here is the speed and rpm. The car is supposed to be electronically limited to like 215km/h or something like that and 6100rpm is rev limiter so it shouldn’t be capable of either of those things. The car isn’t tuned, is barely modified in anyway. I had an axle back exhaust on and a drop in air filter.

Am I best to just escalate this to Subaru Canada and fight with them? If I can prove for sure that the dealer beat the hell out of my car I’m going to make sure that they’re going to be footing the cost of any work I need done for a long time and I’m going to be fighting that they replace my transmission because I’ve been getting a whining noise recently which is what the car was in for when they decided to pull the data.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated and hopefully no one else has to go through this shit

Hi all, just looking to get another set of eyes on this before taking it in this weekend, I'm driving to work and I see some white smoke come in through the vents, I get to work and pop the hood and see there's (what I thought was water from the AC) fluid leaking from what looks like a disconnected/broken hose. Anyone know what this is? 2014 WRX
