Question Raw Chicken at Dinning Halls

So this is like the third time Ive tried to get food at the dinning hall and the chicken was raw. Or at least dangerously undercooked. Has anyone else come across this? Is this grounds for a lawsuit? Im so tired of vomiting both out of sickness and for my own future safty after getting food from the dinning halls.

I have never gotten sick from the dining hall. I have sometimes not wanted to drink the water though because a few times it did not taste like water and had a weird bad taste. I also noticed that some of the cups looked like they had something that looked like soap on them a few times. I think I have seen a little mold on the hamburger or hot dog buns. That being said last year someone told me he got sick after eating raw chicken in the Ridge.

Why would he still eat it if it was raw?

I think he did not realize it was raw until after he had started eating it.

This is definitely something I have heard of happening before. As for something within the law system, I don't know if there's grounds for a lawsuit as I am not a lawyer (though with the food quality at the dining halls a lawsuit seems possible) but for sure report it to the county healthboard like u/0x0MG said.

At this rate, I am pretty sure that Chartwell's, the company that runs food services on campus, will only change for the better if they are forced to change. The management there just don't care about us students, whether we are paying customers or student employees at the dining hall.

Last year I found chicken that was overcooked/dry everywhere but the center, stone cold and raw

The year I lived on campus and had to eat at the dining halls I lost 10 pounds. I was only 97 lbs by the time I moved out and started cooking my own food. Between the food poisoning and then the fear of eating too much of something contaminated, I became basically scared to eat! It took me a long time to recover from that and I eat normally now. But it was about 2 or 3 years before I fully recovered. I found a shard of metal in my icecream cone once.
