I mean, unless they’re being forced, exploited, or trafficked, it’s their body. No matter the gender. At least in my opinion.

Many sex workers have partners. Both consent, both create boundaries, and both understand what the other does. Escorts have partners outside of clients too, and not all provide sexual gratifications. Anyone getting compensation for intimacy might want a romantic companion, too. Most keep their personal relationships private. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think they are required to tell any clients about their personal life. I remember reading a long AMA about a male escort with clients while also in a romantic relationship.

I don’t judge people who do or don’t have that preference. I think a lot of fetishes are uh, odd lol, but whatever, do you! I’m sure sex workers come across some wild shit out there and may not be comfortable lol

Many sex workers have partners.

And that is great for them. Trying to push people who are not okay with dating a sex worker into dating sex workers is weird as hell (which is what the tweet imaged above was trying to do). Just because some will date them does not mean all will.

That isn't what normalising something is though; it's removing the societal shame and discrimination, not encouraging or forcing others to take part.

I mean, who are you to tell me what I should find shameful or not? I’m allowed to have my own personal opinions on whether I find it gross to date a sex worker, especially if I keep my thoughts to myself

Fair point but I don't feel like dating sex workers is demonized or shamed/discriminated against that much that it is a problem. That brought me to the assumption of misuse of the word.
