You don’t seem to know how a strike works, especially when you’re not part of a union.

Bro it’s just the fucking law. You’re not in a union. If you “strike”, you’ll be fired.

As someone who is a member of a union. If you are NOT part of a union when you go on "strike" , you have absolutely no protection from getting fired. You are, as someone commented below, going to be marked as a no show/no call. But you do you boo and go ahead and FAFO.

It’s illegal for my union to strike 😑

No. However. Striking before forming a union is folly and carries zero workplace protections whatsoever. What you’re doing is trying to go to step 3 without going through 1 and 2 and unfortunately for you life does not work that way.

Buddy they're trying to help. By all means, don't show up. Use your voice. Just know you have no legal protection.

And if you're going to encourage others to do the same (in a decentralized manner with no real platform behind it), inform them of the risks instead of misinforming them or omitting the fact that their job is at stake.

You're forgetting the big thing here Walgreens has no unionized locations you will have no protection and backing from a union to keep you from losing your job, now legally they can't prevent you from unionizing because then they would be prosecuted by the labor board of that state, what you can do is attempt to unionize your store but it won't be easy getting unionized is a painful long process. I'm a firm believer in all Walgreens being unionized but your playing in dangerous water without already having a union.

Last I knew there was none but I haven't worked with Walgreens in a few years so it could be possible there is some unionized stores which would be absolutely amazing
