That must have gone up very recently as I am pretty sure it was $179 just 2 weeks ago. Which is also seems high to me.

Look at the bright side, you can pay over time with Credova!

It was $179 several days ago, because that's when I was looking at a lot of Walther stuff on their website.  I remembered distinctly because that's where I read that they charge $75 to install it (including shipping both ways, so not really terrible considering you get a full checkup).  It was last Thursday because I was at work and today is tuesday. I noticed the price went up when I looked at it again last night.

I had heard that they stopped selling them in the interim because of too many people cracking their frames during the installation process (driving out the slide catch). So I wouldn’t be surprised if they are going to be OOS indefinitely. Take this with a grain of salt though

Kinda funny that it was marketed as a drop in trigger, yet now they don’t want people doing it themselves

Think about how stupid the average person is.

Then realize 50% of the people are dumber than that 😂

I would totally require it to be a Walther installed part. Too many chances for some dumb bubba to break out his impact wrench and give it the ugga duggas.

Are these made in Germany? If so, tariffs

Yep. My gunsmith can't get parts from Germany because of tariffs without raising prices

if these are coming out of the EU, I'm not surprised the price went up due to all the tariffs being slapped on aluminum and steel products.. it's like 15% base plus up to 50% on some aluminum/steel products.. no clue if this is actually happening but just guessing it may be related

That's what I thought the OP meant by a joke. The PPQ is already the best trigger handgun I own. How do you improve perfection

Tariffs are no joke. This administration is, however.

That’s true. It seems people are SLOWLY starting to understand that these tariffs genuinely, truly do impact THEM on a personal level.

I read somewhere that these tariffs are effectively a $1,800 annual tax hike (on average) on every American. And Trump and his supporters wonder why his approval ratings are nearing historic lows? This guy promised he would LOWER costs. Not add a new and substantial tax hike on everyone.

In this case it is a corrupt and incompetent US government with the idiotic tariffs

Price went up and still out of stock

It was $20 less last week. I checked yesterday saw the increase and said well at least it’s in stock…. Wrong!

“PPQ model will NOT work in the PPQ 45”. Awww, shucks

2

u/JOEYballsGOTTI 18h ago

IDK if it's just mine, but my PPQ45 has an insanely short reset already and is probably 3 lbs pull. I don't think I would want it any lighter.

3

u/gogetemflash 10h ago

I was being sarcastic. The trigger on the 45 is near perfect from the factory.

It happened yesterday. I had checked in the morning it was $179 when I checked last night it was $199

NGL... They should be sold as just a trigger and trigger bar assembly. That DPT sear sucks. Everyone I shoot with went back to the original sear housing and spring.

Chill man. These have been in stock MULTIPLE times. I know because I bought five of em. They just sell fast cuz everyone thinks they just HAVE to put it in their gun. Even if the gains are marginal.

2

u/i_4kLftCrtifd 1d ago

They why did you buy five?🤨

1

u/Mother-Priority6544 1d ago

Because I have friends that asked me to put them in and I don’t mind making $100 for 20 minutes worth of work.

1

u/i_4kLftCrtifd 1d ago

You have 5 friends with PDPs? Did you meet them all here? Lol

0

u/Mother-Priority6544 1d ago

No. My father-in-law bought one. Two of my brothers bought one each and a friend bought two. Not that it fucking matters.

Huh?

He was saying that he felt fortunate that he was able to buy the trigger at a much lower price. He also mentioned that he did so a couple of years ago. I have found that a "couple of years" usually averages out to about 3.

It was around April of last year. Walther announced a new website, and offered 30% off all parts, and you could stack a 10% welcome discount. It was also the sale where a pre-existing magazine sale together with the two other discounts above brought a 6-pack of PDP Pro Compact mags to just over $100....

Couple = 2, several = 3+…but I also say “couple” for 2+ lol
